You still have the right to sell lemonade on your own property, just not on city property without a permit. Makes sense to me. If they were to give the girl an OK on her lemonade stand on that busy intersection then what could happen next? Some crackhead could be selling wieners. Bottom line people shouldn't be able to sell food items to the general public on city property without an appropriate permit. This isn't TJ.

This actually makes me proud to be an American. Seriously. I've been to Asia and you see kids in the midst of traffic selling shit. Several get killed every year. It's unsafe. The lesson the parents are trying to instill is great, but the intersection (no curb, busy) is dangerous. I love that there's a process where she can take the issue before an official body and reach a compromise. I also love that issues like this filter through the media. She got her trip donated in the end.
