I never did use it, and almost never put it on my kids. But we're part hispanic, so don't burn as much like the pitch white folk.

Always did wonder about the moms who would oil their kid from head to toe with that crap.

It's not the vitamin A, it's the endochrin disruptors that get absorbed. Somebody else said it was the chemical in the sunscreen itself and this is true. Health experts have known this for a long time, but they don't have a platform to announce it.

No shit. Wow. I have never heard of that either. Skin cancer (and almost all the rest really) are old folks diseases in my age group.

we used to work in the fields (this is farmer country) as teens ..all day long...only took salt tablets..

and the generations BEFORE me did same..and lived a LONG time..no cancers, no diabetes, no NOTHING!

I know... I am from the deep south and as children we never used it either and no one had skin cancer. Good luck getting people to believe it though.. I told a couple of my friends earlier about what I read and they just looked at me like I was crazy.. imagine that.....

People who feel a need to use "sunscreens" are too fucking stupid to live, anyway!

I rarely use sunscreen either though I am half Irish and English. I tan before burning usually but I just avoid the sun, I will hang out under an umbrella at the beach and wear a hat before I'll slather myself in chemicals.

My little ones rarely get sunscreen unless we are at the beach but what I do is put them in those short-sleeved suits and hats then they only need sunscreen on their arms, below the knees and their feet.

Some sun is good. I know someone who avoided the sun all his life cuz he's pasty white and burns, but he got skin cancer at age 50, on his toe of all places. If you can, try to get 10 minutes a day or so of morning sun on your skin.

If I found out for sure the world was ending in 2012 I would tan myself all the time. That would be so nice.
