Local Officials: BP Staged Workers for Obama Visit - Call big beach crew a 'dog and pony show'
When President Obama visited Grand Isle beach in Louisiana yesterday, he was treated to the spectacle of hundreds of workers hired by BP cleaning up the beach. Never had so many been on the job before, and shortly after the president left, they did, too. All of which has some local officials seething and accusing the company of staging a "dog and pony show" for the president, reports CNN.

A Jefferson County councilman used that phrase, explaining that he'd never seen more than 20 workers before at the beach. Adds another: "What we want to make clear (is) if they're going to send them, then send them everyday, not just on the day of the president's visit." BP denies it was a PR stunt, saying it's gradually increasing cleanup forces. "And the fact that they were leaving the location late in the afternoon was not unusual. It's not associated with the president arriving."

Yep...they added 400 people to the beach yesterday morning...just before Obama's arrival.

So are the workers there today? My guess is no.

Odumbo didn't stick around long, while telling the country how the beaches were clean and come on down. He had to get back to his vacation after all.

His Highness did not take the time to talk to any of the local people who are being hurt by this, and from what I hear he wouldn't even shake Bobby Jindal's hand because Jindal has been critical of the Egomaniac-in-Chief.

Odumbo spewed his rehearsed and scripted rhetoric and got the f*ck out of Dodge.

If he wasn't in on this charade, one would think- one with ANY sort of intelligence would think- that O would be majorly PISSED at BP for playing him and making him look foolish.

Odumbo has all the compassion of a cobra sizing up it's next meal, and all the competence of a lemming running off the edge of a cliff.

I am truly ashamed of being an American.

What a load of crap. obama, bp, and that ugly tank at Homeland Security. The lies are mounting. Sometimes I wonder why I am even a Democrat. James Carville called obama out and that was the right thing to do. Stop with the silly ass lies.
