Re: Greece Urged to Leave Euro Zone and DEFAULT ON DEBT
Greece defaulting means a lot of people without paychecks for some years. It would be disastrous.

What we need is:

1) fight tax evasion, which is very large, even amongst the IRS employees.

2) fight bureaucracy. There was a case of a big international corporation wanting to invest in Greece. They had to amass more than 10,000 signatures over 5 years in order to start their investment.

3) lower prices of goods and services. Most products and services are sold in Greece with more than 200% profit. Even in Tourism, rooms that should cost about 30 euros cost over 100 euros.

4) fight illegal employment and insurance fraud. Lots of people in Greece, both immigrants and natives, are employed but they don't pay insurance.

5) invest in Green energy. Greece, with so much sun and sea, could produce lots of electricity for itself and for its neighbors.

6) lay off excessive public sector employees. The amount of public sector employees is ginormous for the country's population.

Unfortunately, the above can't happen due to extreme soviet-style bureaucracy.

Its gonna be hard one way or another. Or do you want to keep being a slave to the london banksters. Be free. Tough it out. Create your own economy. YOu have resources.

It's not possible for us to create our own economy, for the simple reason that our country does not have the structures to produce anything. Everything is imported.

If we get out of the eurozone, our new currency will be instantly devaluated over 1000%. This means that our debt will then be 10 times more, since our debt will remain in Euros, and imported prices will be over 10 times more expensive than what they are now.

Not if you convert the existing Euro debt into the new currency at the same time. If you do this you'll wipe out much of the debt when the new currency loses value. The French and German (and other) banks will be mightily pissed off though!

They would not let us do that.

This is definitely the best option for Greece. You will suffer pain anyways -- you might as well benefit from it. Your overlords, the Jewish bankers in London and New York, will not be pleased though, LOL.

We dont have the guts to do it. But we could at least use it as a threat to cut the amound of the interest we have to pay back, as this is what makes it difficult, not the loans.

why does greece or any country have to pay on fradulent loans set up by politicans that are owned by the london banksters.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 984840

well said AC!!! we should follow them & the people, you & I should demand it.

we should back this demand up with a national refusal to work & pay tax until our rent boy politicians comply with our wishes.

we had no part in the debt or the recent bail outs!

why do we wait passively for these fucktards to save us? they won't, we will!

we are treated as debt slaves by those who control our political pantomime, it doesn't mean we have to act like slaves.

remember they have also made debt slaves of our children & grandchildren so they can continue to enslave us & the innocent people of IRAQ & AFGHANISTAN...

we should rise up in solidarity with people all over the world who this system rapes, tortures & kills.

the NWO is on the ropes. let's put the peaceful boot in & i'll see you at the world party that follows when these psychopaths hit the canvas!

we as people should take this opportunity to take the power back & scrap the system that has betrayed our trust.

we must learn to trust each other again & return to common law & liberty that recognises all human beings are created equal as children of prime creator.

to the inspiring people who post at GLP, are you prepared to play a part in this uprising?

you would be awesome revolutionaries!

We need to organise peaceful resistance Ghandi & John Lennon style!

I have ideas about how we can do this. What about others here?

How shall we oppose this tyranny?

Rise up in love, truth & courage.

NON COMPLIANCE. WITHDRAW YOUR OBEDIENCE. IT"S TIME.

LOVE TO ALL XXX

Yes, money exists in Greece. Wealthy people have it. People that stole it from the public sector have it. People that evade taxes have it. People that don't pay the insurance of their workers have it.

:Az3: I'd say that that makes sense. Things would be tough for a few years with no credit, but not half as much as the slavery and heartache involved in paying it off. Particularly as most people had no say in it anyway.

spain, portugal, italy?, then brazil, ecuador? Venezuela....mexico...THEN the U.S.

very interesting...how it will be the latin-american countries lining up for the domino effect....spanish speaking, italian, portuguese speaking...they ARE all linked in more ways than one....economically, culturally, historically.,

I know why they let Greece in, like the many other small countries and the ones who negotiate now. Imagine an EU with only the "richest" countries in. First of all, it wouldnt be a european union, just some countries union. Then their currency would be so strong, they wouldnt be able to sell their products to the poorer countries, which are their main buyers. And in a time of recession like this, this would be catastrophic for them.

lddear avian it means that when traders begin to infight the fallout usually becomes systemic to the point of couintries colapsing. take the example of gold delivery (physical) versus paper delivery. what if a country needed the gold to back currency movements through central banks? what if the physical never shows up and like the populace the governments are left holding notes not worth anything other than the value of paper. its written on. take that same circle to a new level with the larger traders like glencore et al. messing with other trading companies. it becomes a game of hot potato with whomever catches it having a country default. i apologize for the typos i did all of this on my crackberry which seems to be messing up. regards edmond dantes ldld
