the Dutch speak beautiful english for some reason.

dutch MAY sound similar to SOME ears, but the fact is that the dutch arent associated with these traits - the opposite, really

Personally, I think it's a beautiful language and defend it whenever people bring up the stereotype that it sounds ugly. It sounds very beautiful, but a lot of people only believe what they've seen on tv and/or in the media, which of course is terrible. Also, for the person who said something about it lacking a musical quality, no offense, and this is just my observation, music in the German language is among some of the most beautiful I've heard, and from what I've read and observed, the reason German is "difficult" for English speakers to learn is because the language has a natural musical rhythm to it, which of course can't be said for English. In my opinion, the so-called "Romance" languages, actually sound really nasty, like French,which I cannot stand, as the language contains too many nasal sounds and meshes everything together. It's a very harsh sounding language. Sounds like it's coming from the back of the throat and the is hissing or something.

If german is such an ugly and un-expressive language, why don't you stop using all their words for describing things that have no equivalent in english?

Just some samples: angst, dachshund, doppelganger, Fahrenheit, flak, gestalt, etc etc.

Don't get me wrong. I like english. It's one of the simplest languages in the world. But english is definitly not an expressive language when you compare it to german or french.

English doesn't even have a way to talk politely.

As for the long words in german: that's just because they combine multiple words into one. Instead of flower petal it would be flowerpetal. As for the people saying germans are babylike for combining words: english does the same. They just don't even bother to remove the damn spaces between words.

Maybe I should complain that english people are idiots because they can only remember words with 8 letters or less.

Finally: Belgians are pedophiles who talk like they are still in the 18th century. That is all.

Thought Dutch and German were similar to each other and some German words do sound what could be called ugly, like mutter (pronounced mooteh) means mother and butter (booteh) for butter. Those words don't even sound natural.

Some German words are cool though, I like farben (colors).

Dutch is a very very similar language to english.

I've recently discovered Rammstein ans are really enjoying it (reise, reise).

I don't know what any of it means, but it sounds good to me.
