Loud Explosion Heard in Gig Harbor, WA Just Now.

Actually, no rain here and it was definitely an explosion. I was in the Military. I know the difference between thunder and an explosion. Police suggested it may be a transformer blown, but Gig Harbor still has power.

Well, I live in the Seattle area as well and this morning I heard at least three loud booms...I figured it was from the Memorial Day parade they had downtown...it's those Sea Fair Pirates parading around, I think...aaaaaarrrrrrr!

You know what? That must be it. I'll bet you. They have tall ships here in Gig Harbor too. I wonder if one of them fired a canon or something.

Live behind Target store in Gig Harbor. No thunder, skies are clear. The sound was an explosion. Seemed to come from the Target store. There were actually two explosions, both rattled the windows of our house. Not fireworks either. More like a clik-BANG.

Live by the Tides High School. Shook my whole house and scared the crap out of me and all the neighbors. Nobody knows what happened. Calling Gas Company just in case...

It happened right behind my house on Quail run or Briarwood. It shook the whole house. Not sure what it was.

I am by the Airport and made it out for the second one. It came from the Tacoma Industrial Airport, South end. It nearly knocked me over. Scary.
