And by YOUR justification it would be o.k. to simply shoot unarmed Mexicans we find in the U.S.A. for violating out sovereign territory??
If six boatloads of unarmed Mexicans were sailing toward our shores, without permission, and would not obey orders to stop -- BOOM!

[snip]

Had Israel just fucking waited, it wouldn't have turned out so badly. This is just so awful.

there is hope for you yet. whew!

Keep in mind, though, that I believe Israel would have had every right to board that ship had they broken the blockade but I do not believe they did it legally.

I also still believe they were provoked.

Of course, there is almost no explaining the deaths, is there?

its the ORGAN VENDOR again....how's tradin been? OnlyMe works in a hospital and likes goyisha organs for cheap to sell to desperately ill folks for lotsa lotsa muela...aint that right "all your organs are belonging to us"? or is that just a bad rumour again...like the one about all those nice jewish boys murdering medics, humanitarians and disaster relief agents while they slept on their aid flotilla in international waters?

There were ways to achieve the same result without 15 people dead. The mission was hardly a success. Believe what you wish, but the ends do not always justify the means.

Re: Weapons Found on the Flotilla Ship Mavi Marmara Used by Activists Against IDF Soldiers, 31 May 2010
So, basically Israel has a naval blockade that a bunch of "peace" ships are trying to run. Israel boards the ships and are attacked. Israel defends itself as they usually do, with overwhelming force and some of the "peaceful" people who were attacking them die.

So now, those involved with the "peace" flotilla are painting Israel as the nasty bad guys for daring to defend themselves from attack while enforcing their own blockade.

I stand with Israel.

soooooo delivering aid and supplies to an oppressed populace that is imprisoned is considered an "attack" eh?

you got your wires crossed buddy.

Israel gave Gaza to the Palistinians as part of a land for peace deal. The Palistinians got the land. Israel got attacked from a new closer vantage point and has remained under attack from Hamas from Gaza ever since.

Israel is blockading Gaza because of the numerous ways Hamas continues to get aid (food and weapons) from several other counties that hate Israel and want war.

Israel attempts to enforce it's blockade by boarding the ships. The people on this "peace" floatilla then attack the IDF personelle boarding the ships.

So yes, the "peace" flotilla did attack Israeli forces... again.

Israel is in an impossible possition. If it does not act to protect itself, more rockets, missles, and blood thirsty Hamas and Hezbola terrorists move in and start shelling them. If Israel does act to protect itself it is tagged as the agressor for beating up on those poor murderes.

I still stand with Israel.
 Quoting: Resister

Okay, if it keeps happening, that the IDF soldiers are getting attacked by these peace flotillas, you should be able to post at least three different scenarios when this happened.

Do you consider forced boarding to be passive? I simply see this as force that met resistance with what they had and was ill prepared for it.

They should have simply disabled the ships and let them stew for a day or two and then discuss terms of boarding. Why did it have to happen this way?

Re: Weapons Found on the Flotilla Ship Mavi Marmara Used by Activists Against IDF Soldiers, 31 May 2010
The biggest and dumbest mistake Israel made was doing this in international waters about 75miles out. That's equivalent to jumping somebody and provoking a fight on neutral territory. For that they'll be convicted in the court of public opinion if not by international laws of the sea. If these ships had run a blockade and were inside the 50 mile Israeli territorial zone, then the IDF would have had more justification to stop or seize these vessels.

That being said, every single bleeding heart liberal do-gooder on those ships knew Goddamn good and well that they were intentionally provoking a conflict, expected a fight, and had knives, clubs, and pepper spray ready when boarded. They were warned before leaving Cyprus, the were warned in transit, and the were warned by loudspeaker before the IDF rappelled down onto the boats and the conflict began. So they get no sympathy because they willfully provoked this action. Sure these weren't machine guns or RPG's, but if anyone starts clubbing me or jabbing me with a knife you can bet your ass I'm going to shoot them.

I wish the Palestinian people in Gaza security and human rights, but for those of you who insist on using the humanitarian "we can do anything because we have the moral high ground" approach - you need to wake the fuck up and stop that shit. That's how reporters and doctors get killed in war zones. People in armed conflict don't give a fuck about your liberal journalistic agenda. They each have their side to defend and promote and they're just using you as a tool. Grow up!

As a final reminder, the actions in Gaza were provoked by incessant barrages of Katyusha rockets, sniper fire, and suicide bombings of Israeli buses full of women and children. Hamas and Hizballah antagonized this situation and could have de-escalated it years ago. They insist on maintaining intifida and they will be dealt with accordingly.

where would i start? pro terrorist. So German MP's are pro terrorist? wow, you are very learned to know this.

how about 'chose the path of violence'. By every stretch of the imagination, they chose a peaceful protest. Only once a military force illegally boarded their ship did they defend themselves. a MILITARY FORCE. That would be the path of violence.... tard.

I think so. They could have used warning shots to impress them first. Aggressive maneuvers coupled with warning shots would have probably been sufficient. Waiting until they were within 20 nautical miles would have been prudent. The IDF was stuck in the mind frame of exploiting the cover of darkness when this was a minor advantage. They seem more interested in executing an impressive bold plan than an effective one. I think this explains why they did not jam communications and shut down the feeds. They wanted to impress everyone with their prowess and achieved exactly the opposite.

By targeting their rudder they could set them adrift, surrounded them and waited. At some point they will be forced to come to terms with their situation.
