Report Copyright Violation | Smoke from Quebec fires affecting New England Forest fires from Quebec affected much of New England Monday.
Local fire departments reported receiving dozens of calls after a thick haze was seen hanging on the horizon across the state.
Beverly Fire Department Dep. William Walsh said his department received more than 75 calls Monday morning about the smoke.
"Most of our calls are from people that are concerned with fires that in their area because of the heavy wood smoke. They're thinking that it's in their backyards," Walsh said. [ link to www1.whdh.com] |
