Ok, it seems obvious to me that something came up out of the hole. We are all assuming that it fell in. I don't think so. No reside around to know where all that soil went.

I suspect rather a buried alien craft came out of the earth leaving that perfect looking hole you see there of incredible depth.

The advanced civilization is leaving this planet before our upcoming extinction event.
