I am keeping my grandchildren a few days, 7 year old grand-daughter and 2 year old grandson. He is just awful and will not behave. I told him twice that if he hit his sister again while she was watching tv i was gonna spank him. Well he walked right over and bopped her bout 5 minutes later. From behind when she wasnt looking. So, she starts whining and getting on everyones nerves and he is jumping up and down like he is crazy. I took my fly-swatter and two swats on the leg, you would have thought i was trying to kill him. He screamed for 2 or 3 minutes, then I very calmly told him that I had told him I was going to spank if he did that and gran means business. No he is sulled up but sitting quietly watching cartoons and the whole house feels better. Can you really tell me I am wrong? When my children were young they were not spanked often, but they understood that for certain offenses they would be, and things were not as chaotic as they are for my grandchildren. I actually think they are being treated worse than their parents were because they are let run wild. Make their life out of control and the parents constantly stressed and yelling. I am not yelling and now... .neither is he :)
