Will be a storm but likely not tropical

"Showers and thunderstorms continue in the northwestern caribbean sea east of the yucatan peninsula in association with the remnants of pacific tropical storm agatha. Upper-level winds, particularly to the north of the system in the Gulf of Mexico, are not conducive for development and there is a low chance, 10 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours. This system is expected to move little over the next day or so."

As we Floridians know all too well, they can never predict tropical activity. Not storm development or tracking. The night before Opal hit Fort Walton Beach, I went to bed under the assumption that the Hurricane was heading to Louisiana. I woke up at 5:00am that morning to the sound of a police loudspeaker going down my street telling us we had to evacuate. At that point, Opal was a Cat 5 but was downgraded when it made landfall. The storm was moving 13 miles per hour, but the traffic was only moving 5 miles per hour. It was a horrific experience.

If you have ever lived in the Northern Panhandle of Florida you know that you can't always believe the forecasters. Everything is subject to change at a moments notice.

Absolutely! Folks will need to move themselves. If they get on the bus, they may not come back.

The fact that the oil will flow "until August" (what a joke) tells me in an active season once moved you will be moved period. They will not let folks back into an area of evacuation just because a storm has passed.

God can do anything.

All the news lately has been about the oil spill/leak in the gulf of Mexico. Deep Horizon.

Blame has been applied. Guilty have been accused.

People in leadership and corporations are being demonstrated on a world stage that strip naked the idea that they have any answers. The blame is ample.

Here is what the Lord has shown me about this:

* The oil spill will be worse than first thought. Much of what has been done is counterproductive.
* Action that could have been taken has not because of incompetence at high levels.
* The oil spill damage will seem to be irreversible for a while. THEN, amazing things will happen. Storms that many think will aggravate the problem will be a solution. The volume of Oil will become a benefit in that organisms that degrade oil biotically will have plenty to feast on. There will be rapid degradation of the oil from sunlight, heat, wind and storms.
* While there will be death of some sea life, and pollution of others, the ecological systems will recover and people will be amazed at how quickly. It will be considered a miracle.
* This is NOT the beginning of sorrows. This disaster will be considered to be a death, but like Lazarus, will demonstrate the Glory of God.
* Those who are predicting death and destruction from this will be wrong.

What Father is saying is Repent. If people will repent, turn from their wicked ways and turn to God, then he will heal their land and the sea. This catastrophe can be recovered by repentance.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

To look at it another way, if the proud ignore God, and remain wicked, then Heaven will shut the door, sin will be retained and the land will suffer.

The choice is ours.

I've talked to several people who said they will not evacuate regardless of the circumstances. Many of them refuse to leave their pets behind and will to take any risk, regardless of the consequences, by not evacuating and staying put in their homes.

Look at the level of warm clouds, and the cold clouds..this will spin into a nasty storm, very rapidly.I would suggest folks stay ontop of this.I would evac to be safe to an area of choice, rather than wait for "them" to evac to a location of "their" preference.Just trying to give folks a head up on things.Don't shoot the messenger please.;. semper fidelis (always faithful)

Re: This Is Going To Leave a Mark!!!! INCOMING STORM !!!!
what to expect...
---

More worryingly, storms could drive the oil far inland. Mark Bourassa, a specialist in oceans and weather at Florida State University, estimates that a hurricane or tropical storm could push oil up to 12 miles upriver – and deep into the grassy marshes that cover much of the Gulf shoreline and act as breeding grounds for fish and birds.

Hurricanes move in an anticlockwise direction in the Gulf, and those that strike to the west of the Deepwater Horizon well are likely to drive the oil onshore, while those that strike to the east are more likely to push it back out to sea. Florida will be particularly vulnerable to storms sweeping the pollution in its direction.

The high winds and big waves could also vastly extend the surface area over which the slick extends, making the clean-up all the more difficult.
