how hypocritical can you get, every USA citizen pumps three times as much C02 into the atmosphere than anybody else, if they are to prosecute BP then they will have to prosecute every other oil company operating a oil well on US territory due to their lax safety regulations. ...

If that's hypocrisy, it is the way we do prosecutions. It's called "prosecutorial discretion" where, among all the many crimes the US Attorney might see, he selects a few to prosecute.

I think that these crimes are very reasonable choices ...

if Bush had implemented proper safety regulations that are in place everywhere else in the world things like this wouldn't have happened, seems rather ironic all these Americans crying in the streets about oil washing up on their shores & then driving home in their gas guzzling SUV's with a cost of 2.50 a gallon & yet when a gas increase is announced the very same people cry about the price going up, oh i forgot Americans don't get irony.

I hope they investigate the Obama administration as part of this investigation.

Things they were focused on instead of fixing oil leak:

1) Bribing people not to run for political office (serious crime).

2) Siding with a foreign government (Mexico) against the state of Arizona.

Almost 3 bucks a gallon today in my town. I been biking it a week or so though personally, and really don't thing a Brit has any room to be all self-righteous in this conversation. HOw bout you just say, "Oh, so sorry, Our smart ole chaps really fecked up your ocean didn't they ole chap?" Or something. Do try to sound charming, it will make the major fuck up much easier for the mind controlled to absorb.
