It's everyone involved. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 986261The real blame lies on the PTB and the saboteurs they hired to blow the well. Of course these guys are ALWAYS to big to fail. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 60405 New Zealand 06/01/2010 08:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to www.chron.com] Engineers are learning through trial and error what works at this wellhead, under intense pressure and at extreme temperatures nearly a mile below the surface. They have found ways to cope with hydrates that can clog equipment, McCormack said. Nobody's seen what BP's doing at these depths and these pressures before, he said. This is completely new territory. ------- I'd be inclined to take that to mean that for BP also the depth and pressures were totally new territory but went ahead anyway and then (deliberately) released the oil and gas into the ocean because there was no other way.. then after the spill when the initial pressure has come off they insert a tube or whatever and start siphoning off the oil and gas to a tanker. |

icondon User ID: 969775 United States 06/01/2010 09:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | how hypocritical can you get, every USA citizen pumps three times as much C02 into the atmosphere than anybody else, if they are to prosecute BP then they will have to prosecute every other oil company operating a oil well on US territory due to their lax safety regulations. ... Quoting: Dana ScullyIf that's hypocrisy, it is the way we do prosecutions. It's called "prosecutorial discretion" where, among all the many crimes the US Attorney might see, he selects a few to prosecute. I think that these crimes are very reasonable choices ... pity the US Attorney doesn't investigate the Bhopal disaster then. if Bush had implemented proper safety regulations that are in place everywhere else in the world things like this wouldn't have happened, seems rather ironic all these Americans crying in the streets about oil washing up on their shores & then driving home in their gas guzzling SUV's with a cost of 2.50 a gallon & yet when a gas increase is announced the very same people cry about the price going up, oh i forgot Americans don't get irony. Almost 3 bucks a gallon today in my town. I been biking it a week or so though personally, and really don't thing a Brit has any room to be all self-righteous in this conversation. HOw bout you just say, "Oh, so sorry, Our smart ole chaps really fecked up your ocean didn't they ole chap?" Or something. Anonymous Coward User ID: 984065 United States 06/01/2010 10:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How do you know this was a government sponsored terrorist attack in the gulf? 1. Why no investigation into Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac? 2. Why no investigation of Wall Street? 3. Why no investigation of Barney Frank? Because it does not fit their political ideology. However, nationalizing Big Oil does fit their political ideology. Cap and Trade does fit their political ideology. |

[link to atlah.org] The reason for so much distraction Ultimately...there is little you or I can do about spewing oil as others may have the equipment and use it-I do not own it... Naturally investigating the whole BP/Transocean free for all...but we can address other issues where you or I might have an impact...the truth...about who is at it's headship... icondon User ID: 969775 United States 06/02/2010 01:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is a diversion by the federal government to take attention away from their own corruption and incompetence. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 988854I thing everything is orchestrated to take over Oil industry like they did it with Car industry. Chicago Outfit is going for Big Fish. NOTE: The Outfit in the city of Chicago has no true monopoly on traditional organized crime. It competes for turf, for business, with many other organizations, including the current 'Russian Mafia' and the Jamaican 'posses', among others. The Outfit's control reportedly reaches throughout the western United States to places as far away as Los Angeles, California and parts of Florida. The Chicago Outfit is also known to have large control over neighboring states including Iowa, Wisconsin and other areas of the Midwest. They also have satellite families, or crime families that answer to or are under Outfit control. These include: the Iowa family, the Las Vegas family, the Los Angeles family, the Nebraska family, and the San Diego family. Public records states: sources in the US Army Corps of Engineers,Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and Florida Department of Environmental Protection that the Obama White House and British Petroleum (BP), which pumped $71,000 into Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign -- more than John McCain or Hillary Clinton, are covering up the magnitude of the volcanic-level oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico and working together to limit BP's liability for damage caused by what can be called a "mega-disaster." Linky, Stinky. |

What I find fantastic is any notion that there are answers beyond the realm of science. The answers are there. You just have to know where to look. We're all gonna die. The only question is when & how you check out. Do you want it on your feet? Or on your knees... begging?! I ain't much for begging! Nobody ever gave me nothing! |
