Statism is an irrational ideology that attempts to control humans through its own methods. Statist countries tend to be officially atheist and oppress theisms because they see them as competition for the hearts and minds.

What you said before is true, this thread shows how basically unintelligent people become when they close their minds to any other possibilities. They fight and posture because it is easier than opening the mind to an alternative. Theistic people need to feel their faith is strong so they defend it despite its irrationality. Atheist people have made up their minds and do not want any possibility to enter it that may disavow them of their preconceived beliefs. Ultimately humans are neither intelligent or rational and so this "I am right and you are wrong" posturing is the only thing that will ever happen when people attempt to show another their point of view. It is best for Christians to quietly go away with their irrational and incorrect prejudices about what atheists are, content in their own minds that they are correct. And for Atheists to continue quietly with their assumption of intellectual superiority and for neither to meet and try to pass their point of view to the other. Violence will be the only result. I would recommend that Christians meet with each other in their places of worship and pray and continue to tell each other they are on the correct path, and for atheists to meet only with each other and discuss humanistic things without superstitious influence.
