It Looks Like The Pre-Trib Saints Are Barley To Be Harvested On Ascension Day
IT LOOKS LIKE THE PRE-TRIB SAINTS ARE BARLEY TO BE HARVESTED ON ASCENSION DAY, AND THE TRIBULATION SAINTS ARE WHEAT TO BE HARVESTED ON THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS

A friend went to Israel and asked when the wheat was harvested. The answer was "in the summer." Just as Israel harvests wheat in the summer, it was harvested in summer in the fields near my house in Riverside, CA, in 1998.

In Mt. 13:27-30, speaking of the kingdom of heaven, Jesus said, "the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the WHEAT with them. LET BOTH GROW TOGETHER UNTIL THE HARVEST: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, GATHER YE TOGETHER FIRST THE TARES, AND BIND THEM IN BUNDLES TO BURN THEM: BUT GATHER THE WHEAT INTO MY BARN" (Heaven).

It suggests the Pre-Wrath Rapture on the Day of God´s Wrath (the Feast of Trumpets), before the asteroids of Rev. 8:8 and 10 impact Earth at noon (Zeph. 2:3-5).

In Mt. 13:18-43, Jesus explained the parable of the kingdom of heaven. "The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; THE HARVEST IS THE END OF THE WORLD (AGE, i.e., the Feast of Trumpets); and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world (age). The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear."

Mark 13:27 says of that day, "then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth (at the Pre-Wrath Rapture) to the uttermost part of heaven" (to call those caught up in the Pre-Trib Rapture to the general assembly in Heaven (Heb. 12:23).

There are two Raptures, Pre-Trib and Pre-Wrath, and two main grain harvests, BARLEY AND WHEAT. Barley was winnowed, thrown up in the air, where the chaff blew away. WHEAT WAS THRESHED WITH A TRIBULUM (i.e., THE TRIBULATION), therefore, I think the end of barley harvest (Ascension Day) is the Rapture of the Pre-Trib saints, and the end of the summer wheat harvest (the Feast of Trumpets) is the Rapture of the Tribulation saints.

Tribulation is from the Latin tribulum, a threshing instrument that separates the chaff from the wheat. The Tribulation will also perform this separation. In Luke 22:31, "the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you AS WHEAT."

Wheat harvest and threshing can go on all summer. De. 16:13 (LITV) shows how late they were still threshing. It says, "You shall keep the Feast of Tabernacles seven days after you have gathered in from your THRESHINGFLOOR, and from your winepress."

After Pentecost, there is the long growing and maturing season of the SUMMERTIME. During this period, the bulk of Israel’s widely diversified harvest, grows as it approaches the end of the season.

Along with the harvest, of course, grow the tares, which are weeds that look like wheat, but have no fruit. Ultimately the growing season comes to an end. This end of the season is pictured for us in the fall feasts of Israel with the sounding of the shofar blast on Rosh Ha-Shana.... (i.e., Tishri 1, the Feast of Trumpets).

Shavuot, like so many other Jewish holidays, began as an ancient agricultural festival. In biblical times, it marked the end of the spring barley harvest and THE BEGINNING OF THE SUMMER WHEAT HARVEST.

Ex. 34:22 says, "thou shalt observe the feast of weeks (Pentecost), of the FIRSTFRUITS OF WHEAT HARVEST, and the feast of ingathering at the year´s end.

Re: It Looks Like The Pre-Trib Saints Are Barley To Be Harvested On Ascension Day
AWAITING THE TRUMPET CALL

As we have often pointed out, Israel’s festival cycle runs with the agricultural year in the land. Passover, occurs in the early spring. In this holiday the first sheaf of ripe barley is waved before the Lord as a sign of coming harvest. Afterward the counting of the omer is begun. All this leads us to Pentecost, fifty days later. This early-summer holiday marks the general firstfruit harvest of grains and some early fruits.

This end of the season is pictured for us in the fall feasts of Israel with the sounding of the shofar blast on Rosh Ha-Shana.

Spiritually, it appears that we are now nearing the end of this summer growing season. The feast of Passover has been fulfilled for us Christians, along with the Feast of Pentecost, as we see in Acts 2. We are now awaiting the final period of harvest, with its festivals and convocations, beginning with the sounding of the trumpet.

As we wait, the harvest among mankind continues to mature. Like the natural harvest, it also is made up of the wheat and the tares. It is the rule of the kingdom that the wheat and tares must grow together until the harvest (Matt. 13:29-30). Indeed it is very difficult to tell them apart for awhile. As they mature, the difference soon becomes apparent, and at the final harvest, the difference will plain for all to see. The wheat heads will be heavy and bowed low with their goodness and blessing; the empty heads of the tares will be lifted high. Today evil people are becoming more and more evil (2 Tim. 3:1-5), while the truly good people are growing in the knowledge of the Lord with abundant fruitfulness and blessing for all humanity.

The summer is the period of growth and change. Once the trumpet sounds, that period will be over forever. Now we can grow in grace, be made into the image of Christ, and bow in repentance before him. When the trumpet sounds it will be too late for change. The prophet lamented over Israel, because he realized this all-important fact. He said, "The harvest is past, the summer has ended, and we are not saved!" (Jer. 8:20).

EARS TO HEAR THE TRUMPET

There is some evidence that the trumpets may already be sounding, at least in the spiritual realm. Revelation 10:7 is an interesting verse: "But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets." We see that the last trumpet call, or at least the preparation for this call comes over a period of time (days). We also get this understanding from the whole passage in Revelation as it deals with the sounding of the seven trumpets (Rev. 8:6 - 10:7). We see that their sounding covers a period of time, and that the period is filled with many horrors and disasters for this sinful world. The last trumpet will bring an end to this creation. However, before the last trumpet, there must be a first trumpet, then a second and so on.

It is certainly interesting that the Jewish people have responded to the sounding of a great trumpet as they have returned home to Israel in our day. In Isaiah 27:12-13 we read: "In that day the LORD will thresh from the flowing Euphrates to the Wadi of Egypt, and you, O Israelites, will be gathered up one by one. And in that day a great trumpet will sound. Those who were perishing in Assyria and those who were exiled in Egypt will come and worship the LORD on the holy mountain in Jerusalem." If the Jews, who have been returning home en masse for over a hundred years, have been doing so in response to the sounding of a trumpet, we can understand how near we are to the end. Most Christians did not hear this trumpet - but many Jews heard it. If we missed this trumpet, are we missing the other ones as well?

WHAT WILL THE TRUMPETS ACCOMPLISH?

The sounding of the trumpet (shofar) in the Hebrew scriptures pictures many things. It was used for marking sacred times and seasons (Psa. 81:3). It was used to call God’s people together (Num. 10:2). Of course in those days they didn’t have cell phones and pagers. The prophet Joel cries, "Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly. Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber." (Joel 2:15-16). Today God is calling his people together and also he is calling them to sanctification and holiness. God is calling together his leaders. We see in scripture that there is a specific trumpet call for the leaders to assemble (Num.10:4).

The trumpet was also used not only to gather the people but to direct the movement of God’s camps (Num. 10:2). God’s people are going somewhere and we are being guided by the trumpet call of God. When great spiritual developments and revivals take place, God is probably sounding some spiritual trumpet to orchestrate them. The trumpet was also used in Israelite worship (Num. 10:10; Psa. 150:3). There is a call going out today a never before to worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth. Interestingly, the shofar is again being used in worship, particularly among Christian congregations in the land of Israel.

Trumpets were used in warfare (Num. 10:9; Josh. 6:16). In Jeremiah 4:19 the prophet exclaims, "Oh, my anguish, my anguish! I writhe in pain. Oh, the agony of my heart!

My heart pounds within me, I cannot keep silent. For I have heard the sound of the trumpet; I have heard the battle cry." Today there is the sound of marching in the mulberry trees, the rumble of heavenly chariots as the princes and principalities of this world gather in opposition to the Almighty and his armies. In Numbers 10:9, the Lord tells us to blow the trumpet when the battle gets hot and the Lord will remember and help. When we consider that Gideon sounded the trumpets and with 300 men defeated 120,000 Midianites, we might conclude that the trumpet is the most powerful weapon this world has ever known.

Likely, one of the most important uses of trumpets in the Bible was for the coronation of the kings of Israel. In 1 Kings 1:39, Solomon was crowned as we read: "Zadok the priest took the horn of oil from the sacred tent and anointed Solomon. Then they sounded the trumpet and all the people shouted, ‘Long live King Solomon!’" The picture is plain in the spiritual realm. In the long, sad history of this world there have been many pretenders to the throne, and there are many today. However, God is the Creator and sustainer of this universe. He is, and has always been, its rightful king. This fact will soon be acknowledged by everyone, as the heavenly trumpet proclaims it.

We Christians believe that the Lord’s Messiah will receive the crown and with it, all the authority in this universe. In Revelation 11:15 we read: "The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ [Messiah], and he will reign for ever and ever.’"

There is a great coronation about to take place. The true God is about to be acknowledged by men, angels, principalities, and powers. The Bible says, "It is written: ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.’" (Rom. 14:11).

Before that last trumpet sounds, we are blessed with a time of growing and maturing. The summer still has not ended. We can still cry to the Lord, repent and ask for forgiveness. We can still bear fruit. Once the trumpet sounds we will be transferred immediately into a new era, into a realm beyond flesh and blood. Some will receive eternal shame and judgment, while others will receive eternal blessing and glory. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, "Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed."

Re: It Looks Like The Pre-Trib Saints Are Barley To Be Harvested On Ascension Day
SANHEDRIN CALENDAR CORRESPONDING TO SPRING 2005
The 13-month controversy for this year, and the Karaites

About every third year, we run into divisive brooding in all of Israel over the necessary adjustment of the number of moons for that year -- and this is one of those years. The “intercalating” (adding) of an extra month is needed to keep the seasons balanced with the months, so about 7 out of every 19 years needs to have 13 months. The last Sanhedrin set up the standardized method for the calendar, and no one has the authority to trump or overrule this, except the entire Body of Mashiach. The added moon (13th month) has to be done sometime, so why not just acknowledge it and do it in unity? Otherwise, we´ll be doing whatever is right in our OWN eyes. There always has to be an argument it seems. As you may know, there are divisions over this, concerning the “barley wave offering”, sighted by the Karaites in Israel. A small quantity of some species of barley became almost ripe last month (written in spring "2005"), however the whole harvest was certainly not ready. It was still winter when the Karaites proclaimed the discovery of the ripe barley harvest -- yet the whole harvest was not yet ripe at all. The equinox is used in the calculation of the arrival of springtime; this is simply because we use a lunar/solar calendar (not strictly a lunar one as the Islamic world does). Permit me to explain this "year" thing, and how Ex. 12:2 tells us that the arrival of the "first moon" of the year is in the SPRING/SUMMER cycle, not the fall/winter. Also, the barley doesn´t determine when to watch for anything; we are simply told to bring a sheaf of the harvest to the priest (SEE LEV. 23:10) -- but the whole crop is being harvested, not just a patch of barley that is ripening that you had to go out and hunt down (and this is a cultivated crop of barley, not some wild growth blundered into -- it´s "harvested"). If each one of us privately interprets how and when to do things -- as it seems we are -- people are going to be very divided. That´s why we must search out the TRUTH of every matter carefully -- and it´s not hard to do.

ABIB THE FIRST MOON OF THE YEAR (SPRING, EX. 12:2)

"Abib" means ear, or grain, but not a "green" ear. The sun, moon, and stars are all used together for days, years, signs, and moedim (called "seasons", or appointments). Torah doesn´t come out and actually say "equinox", however the SUN (and Earth´s rotation, tilt, & orbit around it) determines days and years. While other places have more pronounced seasonal variations producing 4 distinct seasons, the land of Israel has mainly 2: summer & winter. Both begin with a marked increase in rain, giving us the "early" and "latter" rains (Dt. 11:14). So, first we are to look for the arrival of the spring and its obvious "early rains", then watch for the ripening of the barley grains -- the WHOLE crop -- and when we harvest this crop, the "first fruits" of this harvest are to be taken before the High Priest, Who now is Yahushua, for Him to wave it before YHWH. The barley plays no role presently, because there is no operating priesthood conducting any of the waving of the first fruits aspects of the instructions in Torah; we Natsarim know that Yahushua fulfilled this first fruits offering when He resurrected and presented Himself before YHWH. Without an operational Temple with priests performing daily duties, and a high priest to physically satisfy the prescribed offerings, it becomes difficult to take a Nazirite vow, or bring barley, or do anything but seek out the lost sheep -- which is our duty now as priests according to the order of Melckizedek. If anyone tells you they waved barley or took a Nazirite vow, ask them where they are hiding their time machine! So, the unbelieving Karaites don´t agree with us on every point. Ultimately, it´s not BARLEY, but it´s YAHUSHUA they should have been watching for. The barley was a metaphor or allegory which pointed to Yahushua. Now, when we see the full barley crop ready to be harvested, we can better appreciate what Torah was pointing at. Yahushua is the first harvest, and we His qodeshim (saints) are part of a group of the first fruits; the larger wheat harvest in the fall are those who respond to our planting and watering work. See? It´s all about "shadows" of meaning -- we need to be more concerned about the meaning behind the actual grains growing in the ground.

As Rob Miller explained it so well, "Since the discrepancy between the solar and lunar years amounts to 207 days every 19 years, the "leap month" of Adar Sheni is added to the third, sixth, eight, eleventh, fourteenth, seventeenth and nineteenth year of every nineteen year period, that is, seven times in a 19-year lunar cycle." In other words, 7 years out of every 19 years must have 13 months -- so the last sitting Sanhedrin ordained that a month is to be added, or "intercalated", making those years have an ADAR I and an ADAR II. This past year was one of these, and some resist it because they saw a few grains of barley get ripened. The WHOLE barley harvest must be ready to harvest, and ready to reap: "When you come into the land which I give you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest to the priest." Lev. 23:10. The barley plays an important part, but it still is the "finger" pointing to Yahushua, our true "first-fruit offering", Who offered Himself to the Father. To keep looking at the finger (barley) is a very foolish thing to do -- it signifies the Mashiach, who "waved" (was dead, then came back to life) before the Father, YHWH.

Pesach, Passover: (ref. Lev. 23, Dt. 16)

The evening of the 14th of Abib (Nisan), as we understand it, is at the beginning of the 14th, rather than in the end of the 14th (“there was evening, and there was morning . . .”). The western mind thinks "evening" is at the END of each day, but Scripturally the "evening" marks the beginning of a day. Yahushua stated He desired to eat the Passover meal before He suffered; yet even in those days there were differences among the Yahudim regarding the arrival of the "evening" of the 14th of Abib. While He was hanging on the tree, the Yahudim pleaded for Pilate to have His body taken down, BEFORE the arrival of the High Sabbath Day -- the 15th of that moon. It states they did not wish to enter the building because they did not wish to defile themselves, that they might "eat the Passover". At the same time, the text admits that the "High Sabbath" (the 15th, beginning Unleavened Bread) was approaching that sunset. They combined the Passover observance with the first day of Unleavened Bread, as we see they continue to do today. Yahushua must have eaten the Passover with His talmidim at the beginning of the 14th day, which started at sunset, and later the same night He was arrested in the garden.

Using the Roman date to help illustrate, we will observe the death of Yahushua (Pesach, Passover) at sunset on April 22, just as the weekly Shabbat arrives. The following sunset, as the weekly Shabbat ends, another “evening” heralds the arrival of a new day, the High Shabbat of the 1st day of Unleavened Bread. So, a weekly Shabbat will be immediately followed by the first High Shabbat of the new year. This High Sabbath is the "full moon" of YHWH´s first month, and is exactly the 15th of the moon. If you begin your "count" from the sighting of the sliver moon at sunset to begin the first day of the moon, instead of sighting the sliver just before the sunrise and waiting a day, your High Sabbath (feast) will more than likely be one day later, so the moon will not be exactly "full" when you count to the 15th, and observe your first day of Matsah. The orthodox use the conjunction (dark moon), not the sliver sighting. Many believe two witnesses must go out and "see" the new moon, and report it to the elders. Sorry, there´s no Scripture on that, only Talmudic sources (human tradition). Always check to see if the moon is FULL on your feast, since it states at Ps. 81:3: "Blow the ram´s horn at the time of the new moon, at the full moon, on our festival day." So, the evidence is strongly leaning toward the 15th being the full moon, testing whether your starting point is correct. It doesn´t say "the day after the full moon, on our festival day", so the moon can definitely clue us into whether we´re on time. This is being mentioned in kindness, not to be severe or judgmental at all. All we can do is our best, and where we all fall short of perfection, Yahushua can take care of -- He knows we can be "wrong", but not in rebellion. We still love all those who observe with a different understanding — the moed´im are “shadows” . . . our family of believers, — and the love between us all — is our biggest test of faithfulness. That love for one another is the how the world will know we are Yahushua´s talmidim.

MAYBE MIDNIGHT ON THE SABBATH, IYAR 26, 5765, ASCENSION DAY, THE BEGINNING OF OUR SATURDAY, JUNE 4, 2005 (Jerusalem Standard Time), WILL BE THE ACTUAL DAY AND HOUR OF THE RAPTURE. I´m not a prophet, so I can be wrong, but after 45 years of intensive Bible study, this looks good to me.

The Six-Day War was the Sign of the End of the Age. Israel grew leaves (Gaza Strip, Sinai, Golan Heights and West Bank, fulfilling the Fig Tree Parable of Mt. 24:32-34. The Six-Day War began IYAR 26, 5727 (June 5, 1967). Adding the 38 years of the man´s infirmity before he was healed on the Sabbath in John 5:5 brings us to IYAR 26, 5765.

That is JUNE 4, 2005, BOTH THE SABBATH AND ASCENSION DAY. Then the Six-Day War started on Ascension Day. WOW! To get that straight, I first had to figure out that Sivan 7 was the true Pentecost. Now it all comes together.

Rev. 3:3 says, "Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what HOUR I will come upon thee." Turn it around. If we do watch, he will not come on us as a thief, and we will know the hour.

Maybe we can NOW KNOW BOTH THE DAY AND HOUR that no man knew when Jesus gave the Olivet Discourse before the Crucifixion (Mt. 24:36).

HOW ABOUT THE MIDNIGHT WHEN JUNE 3 CHANGES TO JUNE 4? THAT IS THE MIDNIGHT OF IYAR 26, 5765, ASCENSION DAY. That date starts at 6 PM on our June 3. Six hours later is the midnight of Iyar 26 and the beginning of our June 4.

The section below was updated 4-26-05
All the things in Song of Solomon 2:10-14 and Isa. 18: 3-5 can apply to Ascension Day as well as Pentecost.

I just got a flash. During his Olivet Discourse, Jesus said, "of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only" (Mt. 24:36). There is one day celebrated now that would have been utterly impossible for any man to know during Passion Week -- Ascension Day (May 19 in 30 AD, June 4 in 2005). Until Jesus ascended, no one knew when that would be.

Acts 1:3,9-11 says that Jesus "shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them FORTY DAYS...And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men (probably Moses and Elijah) stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." They saw the Head of the spiritual Body of Christ go up on the 40th day, so he may come for a group that is part of the Body of Christ, the Bride of Christ, on the 40th day. It says that Tuesday, June 14, 2005 is Sivan 7, 5765. That is Pentecost. Ascension Day is 10 days before Pentecost. Saturday, June 4, 2005 is Iyar 26, 5765.

As John 5 begins, we read that "After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem." Since all males were to go up to Jerusalem three times a year, at Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles, it looks like this feast was Pentecost.

Then just a bit BEFORE PENTECOST, Jesus said, "There are yet FOUR MONTHS AND THEN COMETH HARVEST? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are WHITE ALREADY TO HARVEST" (John 4:35). Since Pentecost is Sivan 7, Jesus could have said this in the month of Iyar. The four months would be Sivan, Tamuz, Av and Elul. That harvest would then be on Tishri 1, the date of the second Rapture.

What is in Iyar BEFORE PENTECOST? -- ASCENSION DAY, Iyar 26. To me, this builds a good case for the first Rapture on Ascension Day (June 4, 2005) and the last Rapture on the Feast of Trumpets (Sept. 9, 2010).

Re: It Looks Like The Pre-Trib Saints Are Barley To Be Harvested On Ascension Day
What if the four years in the Barren Fig Tree Parable of Luke 13:6-9 START at the Rapture? Christ would come at the Rapture and check on Israel. Won´t he have to do that anyway at the Rapture?

If the Rapture is on Ascension day in 5765 (June 4, 2005), Christ would come to check for fruit in Israel in 5765 (2005), 5766 (2006) and 5767 (2007). That would take up the three full years of the first half of the Tribulation. At that time, if he finds none, Israel will head into the Great Tribulation six months later.

Luke 13:7-9 says, "Behold, these THREE YEARS (5765, 5766 and 5768) I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, LET IT ALONE THIS YEAR ALSO (5768, 2007/2008), till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then AFTER THAT thou shalt cut it down."

I think the Day of God´s Wrath will be the Feast of Trumpets, Tishri 1, 5771 (Sept. 9, 2010). It looks like that Feast of Trumpets will be the day Gog´s army attacks Israel.

We know that Israel is the fig tree. Hosea 9:10 says, "I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness (the spies brought grapes from the Promised Land); I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the FIG TREE at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame".

Joel 1:6-15 says, "a nation is come up upon MY LAND (Israel), strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion (i.e., the Satan-possessed False Prophet of Babylon III). He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my FIG TREE (removed the protective bark to kill it): he hath made it clean bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white. Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth. The meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of the LORD (on the Feast of Trumpets); the priests, the LORD´S ministers, mourn. The field is wasted, the land mourneth; for the corn is wasted: the new wine (of Tishri´s vintage) is dried up, the oil languisheth. Be ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the WHEAT (Tribulation saints, caught up in the Pre-Wrath Rapture) and for the BARLEY (1st crop to ripen, i.e., the Pre-Trib saints); because the harvest of the field (the field is the world) is PERISHED (abad, wandered away, i.e., raptured). The vine is dried up, and the fig tree (Israel) languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men. Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your God (on the Feast of Trumpets). Sanctify ye a fast (i.e., start the Days of Awe that end with fasting on the Day of Atonement), call a solemn assembly (on the Feast of Trumpets), GATHER THE ELDERS and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD, ALAS FOR THE DAY! FOR THE DAY OF THE LORD IS AT HAND, AND AS A DESTRUCTION FROM THE ALMIGHTY SHALL IT COME."

Continuing, Joel 2:1-3 says, "Blow ye the trumpet in Zion (it´s the Feast of Trumpets), and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for THE DAY OF THE LORD COMETH, for it is nigh at hand; A DAY OF DARKNESS and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong (Gog´s army, Eze. 38); there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. (´a strong people set in battle array´, v.5)"

Joel 2:10,11 says, "The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: THE SUN AND THE MOON SHALL BE DARK, AND THE STARS SHALL WITHDRAW THEIR SHINING: And THE LORD SHALL UTTER HIS VOICE BEFORE HIS ARMY: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for THE DAY OF THE LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?"

Joel 2:15-18 says, "Blow the trumpet in Zion (on the Feast of Trumpets), sanctify a fast (Day of Atonement), call a solemn assembly (on the Feast of Trumpets): Gather the people (from one end to the other, both in Heaven and Earth, the Pre-Wrath Rapture), sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders (Rev. 19:4), gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom (Christ) go forth of his chamber, and the bride (Bride of Christ) out of her closet (chuppah, wedding canopy). Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and LET THEM SAY, SPARE THY PEOPLE, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people."

Heb. 12:22,23 says, "But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the HEAVENLY JERUSALEM, and to an innumerable company of angels, TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY and church of the firstborn, which are written IN HEAVEN, and to God (Christ) the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect" (i.e., made immortal, I Cor. 15:51f).

At the GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN HEAVEN ON THAT FEAST OF TRUMPETS, Jesus will be given his Golden Crown, the Marriage of the Lamb will take place, then Jesus will be seated as judge at the Judgment Seat of Christ.

Rev. 11:18,19 says, "the nations were angry, and THY WRATH IS COME, and the time of the dead, that they should be JUDGED, and that thou shouldest give REWARD unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; AND SHOULDEST DESTROY THEM WHICH DESTROY THE EARTH. And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an EARTHQUAKE, and great hail."

It is as if the two stone tablets in the Ark of the Covenant are dumped on the unbelievers on Earth. The asteroids of Rev. 8:8 and 10 impact Earth. Gog´s army is stopped. Only 1/6th survive (Eze. 39:2). The Israelis bury the dead during the next 7 months to clease the land for the Lord´s return (Eze. 39:12,13).

Interesting this:
"It is as if the two stone tablets in the Ark of the Covenant are dumped on the unbelievers on Earth."

Didn´t Moses BREAK in pieces the first set of the Commandments, then smash the golden calf, beating it into dust before casting it into the river? The people were not ready to receive that which came down from heaven. Then Moses returned to the Mount, receiving and delivering the Law to the people, who agreed to keep it as a lamp unto their feet.

Just a thought.

By Marilyn Agee, updated 5-11-05

The Israelites arrived at Mt. Sinai on Sivan 1. Ex. 19:5 says, "In the third month." When a day number is not given, it means the first day of the month, because chodesh means both New Moon and month. The New Moon is considered the first day of the month.
Ex. 19:4 says, "Ye have seen (past tense) what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I BARE YOU ON EAGLES´ WINGS, AND BROUGHT YOU UNTO MYSELF." This was past history on Sivan 1. Therefore, it does not happen on Pentecost, Sivan 7. Since it is an obviously symbolic statement, I think it is a clue to the Pre-Trib Rapture on what we now call Ascension Day, Iyar 26, ten days before Pentecost.

Isa. 40:31 says, "they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings AS EAGLES; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Concerning the Pre-Wrath Rapture, Luke 17:37 says, "they...said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body (i.e., the Body of Christ) is (it´s in Heaven at that time), thither will the eagles (i.e., the high-flying Tribulation saints) be gathered together" (Luke 17:37).

Re: It Looks Like The Pre-Trib Saints Are Barley To Be Harvested On Ascension Day
WHY DID RUTH GLEAN TO THE END OF TWO HARVESTS, BARLEY AND WHEAT?
By Marilyn Agee

Ruth (type of the Bride of Christ) "kept fast by the maidens of Boaz (type of Christ) to glean unto the END OF BARLEY HARVEST AND OF WHEAT HARVEST" (Ruth 2:23).

Ruth stands for two groups of believers that together make up the Bride of Christ. Both are raptured. The two Raptures are symbolized by the barley AND wheat harvests. The saints that are raptured before the Tribulation are barley. The saints raptured at the end of this age (END OF THE SHORTENED TRIBULATION) are wheat. All of the Pre-Trib Rapture group is in the Bride of Christ group. Only the 144,000 are added to the Bride group at the Pre-Wrath Rapture, because they are "redeemed from the earth...they are virgins...they are without fault before the throne of God" (Rev. 14:3-5).

Boaz "winnoweth BARLEY to night in the threshingfloor" (Ruth 3:2). Ruth, a "virtuous woman" was chosen to wed Boaz (type of Christ as kinsman redeemer) at "MIDNIGHT" (3:8). This represents the Pre-Trib Rapture. However, Ruth was not married until some time had passed. This will be played out in the lives of the Bride of Christ. The Marriage of the Lamb will take place at the end of this age, after the 144,000 Bride saints are caught up to Heaven in the Pre-Wrath Rapture.

It will be the Day of the Lord, Jesus´ Coronation Day, day of the Pre-Wrath Rapture, the Marriage of the Lamb, the Judgment Seat of Christ and the Wrath of God.

The Pre-Trib saints are winnowed like barley. The Pre-Wrath saints are threshed with a tribulum (root of the word Tribulation).

"Harvest: Barley, Wheat, Produce of Vines/Trees"
[link to philologos.org]

Collier´s Encyclopedia:
...Hundreds of varieties of wheat have been developed and classified variously as hard and soft, bald and bearded, red and white, spring and fall...The plants of fall wheat produce a crown of leaves which protect the roots during the dormant season...To prevent smashed heads and loss of ripe grain, wheat is harvested in the dough stage, or just before it is fully matured....

The New Century Dictionary:
winnow [akin to wind, E. wind]
"I. To free (grain, etc.) from chaff, refuse particles, etc., by means of wind or driven air; fan; blow upon, as the wind does upon the grain in this process; drive or blow (chaff, etc.) away by fanning; fig., to subject to some process of separating or distinguishing... also, (chiefly poetic), to fan or stir (the air) as with the wings in flying; move or flap (the wings) in flying; PURSUE (A COURSE) WITH FLAPPING WINGS IN FLYING."

That reminds me of Ex. 19:4. The Lord said, "I bare you on eagles´ wings, and brought you unto myself."

"II. To free grain from chaff by wind or driven air; also, TO FLY WITH FLAPPING WINGS; flutter...."

The threshingfloor was on a prominence outside the city and people would winnow their crops at night because there was a stronger breeze. One of the Targums from the Old Testament states: "behold he is winnowing the barley floor with the wind which is IN THE NIGHT."
---
Mt 3:12 says that Christ, "Whose fan is in his hand...will throughly purge his floor, and gather his WHEAT into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."

We are barley, raptured at midnight before the Tribulation starts. The Tribulation saints are wheat, raptured before the asteroids of Rev. 8:8 and 10 impact Earth at noon (Zeph. 2:3-5) on the Day of God´s Wrath.

Boaz gave Ruth SIX measures of barley, and "she went into the city" (representing New Jerusalem) to show that at the time of the first Rapture, the Bride of Christ will not yet be complete (a seven).

Hmmm. Seven times 144,000 is 1,008,000--and the Bride saints can be numbered. The great multitude that cannot be numbered in Rev. 7:9 represent the rest of the saints. Six times 144,000 is 864,000. Could that be the number to be caught up in the first Rapture? Strange, the first three numbers of our address are 864.

No wonder Ruth 3:16 says, "And when she came to her mother in law, she said, Who art thou, my daughter?" Naomi knew who Ruth was, but we are supposed to figure out who Ruth (meaning friendship, like the Philadelphians, which means brotherly love) represents. She represents the wise Philadelphian virgins, the Bride of Christ to be caught up at the first time. "Then went Boaz (meaning fleetness) up to the gate" (or door, symbol of the Rapture) (Ruth 4:1).

"Boaz said unto her, At mealtime COME THOU HITHER" (Ruth 2:14). At the Pre-Trib Rapture, Jesus will say, "COME UP HITHER" (Rev. 4:1), and we Philadelphians will go through the "open door" (Rev. 3:8) before the Tribulation (from tribulum, a threshing instrument). No wonder Jesus had no words of condemnation for the Philadelphians.

In Mt. 13:39, Jesus said, "The enemy that sowed them (the tares) is the devil; the harvest (of wheat) is the end of the world (aion, age); and the reapers are the ANGELS."

Mark 13:27 says, "then shall he send his ANGELS, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the EARTH (the Pre-Wrath Rapture) to the uttermost part of HEAVEN" (those caught up to Heaven previously in the Pre-Trib Rapture).

In Heb 12:23-25, we see that both groups are gathered that day "TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND CHURCH OF THE FIRSTBORN, WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN HEAVEN, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect (immortal), And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape (not be raptured), if we turn away from him that SPEAKETH FROM HEAVEN" (saying, "Come up hither").

Rev. 4:1 says, "behold, a DOOR was opened in HEAVEN and the FIRST VOICE (i.e., the first trump of God) which I heard was as it were of a TRUMPET talking with me; which said, COME UP HITHER."
