Ice cold oil does not flow very fast. Would make a big clump of oil fast if pumped deep into the hole. Could freeze the sides at least, allowing less and less oil to flow. Granted, I don't know the impact of liquid nitrogen on sea life. May not be so good. Anyone know? Can't be much worse than the dispersant, though, I'd imagine. |
