Although neal adams does a nice smooth aniamation job, and I totally agree with the theory, it is my opinion htat the great floods of yore are the result of SUDDEN expansion in the order of miles. Look at google earth and the structures in the sea. They were not formed slowly.

I think if Norway oil rigs are realated to the BP thing and all the other volcano's and eq's is that preasure builds below and the earth jolts every now and then as it grows. Sloshing the oceans causeing HUGE Tsunami's aka known as great floods and sinking of so called atlantis.

I also look at the shore of the eastern US . all those barrier islands like the outterbanks the jersey shore, look like the result of a huge crashing wave that would curl over and create a birm on the ocean side of the crashing wave. you see it all the time at the shore on a smaller scale.

I'm not an oil geologist but...Some of the lighter more volatile components of crude oil definitely evaporate quickly others more slowly. Not all crude oil is the same, my understanding is the majority of the North Sea crude is of the "light sweet crude" which I would assume to be more "volatile" than some of the heavier types of crude. Not sure what type of crude is leaking in the gulf. Maybe some else can verify or explain this better?
