I Have an Agenda

Simply Put, The world needs to know that the well was sank on purpose for insurance Reasons

Google: TransOcean, Ltd (built the well for BP)

They received 401 Million for the well

They would've received nothing had it not got sunk!!!!!!

That's a bunch of HORSE SHIT!

BP is a VERY safety conscience company, almost to a fault.

You can be fired on the spot for violating safety rules. And that's not just talk. It happened to a couple of IT guys at a refinery a few months back for just making a SIMPLE mistake that hurt no one.

Jason Anderson who was one of the eleven men that died in the oil rig explosion on April 20th in the Gulf knew there were problems with safety on the rig. He even signed his will before his last trip.

If Mr Anderson knew there were safety concerns, then why didn’t BP or Transocean?

The highest-ranking crew member to perish aboard the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig warned his family that BP Plc was pressuring him to sacrifice safety for the sake of time and money, his father said.
[link to www.bloomberg.com]

“Everything seemed to be pressing to Jason about getting things in order. In case something happened. Teaching me how to do certain things on the motor home so that I could go and do things with the kids, make sure that I knew how to do everything,” an emotional Shelly Anderson told NBC’s Lisa Myers.

Her husband drew up a will and talked about his hopes for their daughter and son.

The last few times Jason called her from the rig he was was clearly worried.

“Jason’s father told us Jason was concerned that BP, which controlled the rig, kept wanting to stray from procedures to finish the well faster, which Jason considered unsafe,” Myers reported.

“They were getting pressure from someplace higher up to do things that maybe weren’t exactly the way Jason thought that they should be,” she said. “It was a safety issue.”

The Transocean CEO sat in the Anderson kitchen and told Shelly how he would take care of her family. But even before the memorial service could take place, Transocean went to court to limit their overall damages.

“They haven’t even let us say good-bye to at least have closure for his memory a little bit, to have time to explain to a 5-year-old that her daddy is in heaven. They’re filing these lawsuits to limit us. They need to just slow down. Back up,” said Anderson.

His widow said “Jason was the most wonderful man in the whole world.” Apparently he was. He died a hero.

You are a f*cking LIAR.

I know one of the fellows who was on his way out to tow the rig when it sank and watched the video of it sinking that he took.

He has always hated working for BP because all they do is push push push and violate safety conditions.

They had 768 grossly negligent safety violations last year compared to Exxon's 1.

You are either an idiot or a liar, so which is it?

They work on a bomb and look for explosives...cannot sacrifice safety. Soon as you do, someone dies.

BP may have a decent safety record BUT Transocean does NOT!

According to a report by the Center for Public Integrity, no other oil company inspected by OSHA since June 2007 is even close to BP in the number of citations issued for egregious willful violations (760). Sunoco Inc. was cited for 127 alleged violations, eight of which were willful. ConocoPhillips Co. was cited for 119, four of which were willful, and Citgo Petroleum Corp. for 101, two of which were willful.

Just type in 2009 BP safety record into www.google.com

Dude was an f-en pusher!!!

That is the guy in charge of daily operations of the rig.
BP pays Transocean to use the rig which the pusher is ultimately in charge of. If at any time he felt his rig was in danger, he could have called it off.

Here is the order:

Company Man
Tool Pusher
Driller
Assistant Driller
Derrickhand
Motorman
Floorhand
Worm

Sorry, I'm calling BS on this one.

Then how come BP executives were having a party on the Deepwater Horizon rig to celebrate the great safety record at the rig?

"A group of BP executives were on board the Deepwater Horizon rig celebrating the project's safety record, according to the transcripts. Meanwhile, far below, the rig was being converted from an exploration well to a production well."

Re: Oil Rig Worker Who Died Had Warned His Family That BP Pressured Him To Sacrifice Safety
Another rumor going around...

Story circulating in New Orleans

With appropriate caveats:

BP contracted Schlumberger (SLB) to run the Cement Bond Log (CBL) test that was the final test on the plug that was skipped. The people testifying have been very coy about mentioning this, and you’ll see why.

SLB is an extremely highly regarded (and incredibly expensive) service company. They place a high standard on safety and train their workers to shut down unsafe operations.

SLB gets out to the Deepwater Horizon to run the CBL, and they find the well still kicking heavily, which it should not be that late in the operation.

SLB orders the “company man” (BP’s man on the scene that runs the operation) to dump kill fluid down the well and shut-in the well. The company man refuses.

SLB in the very next sentence asks for a helo to take all SLB personel back to shore. The company man says there are no more helo’s scheduled for the rest of the week (translation: you’re here to do a job, now do it).

SLB gets on the horn to shore, calls SLB’s corporate HQ, and gets a helo flown out there at SLB’s expense and takes all SLB personel to shore.

6 hours later, the platform explodes.

Pick your jaw up off the floor now. No CBL was run after the pressure tests because the contractor high-tailed it out of there.

If this story is true, the company man (who
survived) should go to jail for 11 counts of negligent homicide.

ok GLP people here we go, i have to tell you the bad news i just got from a BP friend of mine over the phone.

The plan is to bare the leaking oil well with tones of metal pipes approximately 3,000 of them making it impossible to locate and plugged it from future operations, the reasoning behind all this is they will save the rest of the oil rigs and the oil refineries in the area from been exploded.
The extreme pressure underground not only causes earthquakes and volcanoes to erupt but threatens the oil industry worldwide.

They decided to use this oil rig as a relieve valve since is one of the deepest, far way from the currents, manageable for recovery and cleanup.
The damages from the ecological and financial expenses will be share between the biggest oil companies.

Any dangerous job I've done I always tried to get things right and give directions for my family in my absence. Most people do that. Rig workers know it's a possibility(cops cry this shit but they're on a lower end of death and maim rate than these kind of workers..miners,steel workers, bridge workers construction-fuck the police anyhow). As fucked as BP is, his will doesn't really provide any evidence for anything. All these rigs are blowing by safety standards and everyone working them knows it.

Yes..even considering that others could be hurt, we all have to be willing to STAND UP to intimidation. It always costs something to be the whistleblower. You often can't get work in that field again, no one respects you for it. It is a lonely road. It wouldn't be so lonely if more people would get the backbone to do what is right.

And maybe if we all had some integrity in the workplace these big money assholes wouldn't get away with so much bullshit.

If he would have documented names/dates and some specifics, the wife would have a great case.

Too bad he got his family all prepared for his demise and only shared vague references that work was unsafe.

Let this be a lesson to anyone else in the same situation.

Document, Document, Document!!!
