I'm not sure about scabies, but I do know how to get rid of chiggers, head lice, cat flea, and human flea infestations. It couldn't hurt to try, since they're all bugs.

1. Soap up all affected areas of your body, while standing in a bathtub. Liquid soap would be good, milder okay because skin is already irritated (like ivory body wash or baby shampoo). Any soap will work-even bar soap. Lather up and apply to all the places that have bumps or itching. Fill the bathtub with water as hot as you can stand to be in. Soak in the tub for a minimum of 20 minutes with the affected body parts submerged. Rinse off. You may want to do this more than once.

2. You need to get rid of the scabies in your bedding, sofas, chairs, pillows_ anything with stuffed upholstering in it.
a. Matress-the cheapest way would be to buy a plastic cover with a zipper that will encase your matress. Wash all bedding in as hot water as possible for the type fabric will allow. Letting it soak works well if you have your own washer. Wash your clothing the same way.
Add some white vinegar and allow it to soak for an hour or more, then turn on wash cycle and allow it to finish. Then add laundry detergent and wash it again. An alternative would be to use a blow up matress to sleep on and get rid of the matress.
b. Stuffed furniture-Use FRONTLINE CAT Flea spray on the furniture. This is a product that is prescription strength and can be bought at pet supply stores or online. It isn't cheap, but will kill bugs. Only use products that say they are for use on CATS, because cats lick themselves and these products are safer to use.
The stuff that they have for dogs might kill you, too! Don't ever use any insectcide on your body, only on furniture and carpet. You can also spray Frontline on your matress before sealing it in the plastic covering.
c. Have you tried head lice medications? They are sold everywhere. They are safe to use as directed. You can use it on your skin, other than your scalp.
d. Keep using whatever medications you've been prescribed.
e. Take pain medicine for the itching (asprin, tylanol, advil, ect)
Have patience and good luck beating this!
