Sixty-five people were issued tickets and two men were arrested following the Dave Matthews Band Concert at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center Wednesday night, the Genesee County Sheriff's Office reported this morning. The vast majority of the tickets were for underage drinking.
Thomas R. Allen, 28, of West Seneca was arrested after he allegedly struck another person in the face, leaving the victim with a split lip and bruises. Allen was charged with third-degree assault.
Dustin T. Forkell, 19, of Spencerport was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for possessing "a quantity of prescription medication," authorities said. In addition, he was found to have an outstanding warrant from the Town of Gates.
Both men were arraigned in Darien Court and remanded in lieu of $750 bail.
Tickets were issued for an array of offenses: 51 people were charged with underage drinking; five for jumping the fence into the concert venue; four for possession of marijuana; and two for trespassing.
In addition, a 21-year-old Rochester man was given a ticket for third-degree assault for punching another concert patron in the face, causing severe bleeding, and a 33-year-old Farmington man was charged with public lewdness and second-degree harassment for allegedly urinating in a mop bucket inside a beer stand and also punching a security guard in the face.
