Dennis Gabor (original Hungarian name: Gábor Dénes) CBE, FRS, (5 June 1900, Budapest – 8 February 1979, London) was a British-Hungarian[1] Jewish electrical engineer and inventor, most notable for inventing holography, for which he later received the 1971 Nobel Prize in Physics.
