ORECHICK User ID: 978635 United States 06/05/2010 02:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Gulf War syndrome isn't caused by something in the air, cause a lot of folks in the rear have it.. meaning those that weren't on the front lines My ex was on the front lines... it's caused by the experimental drugs that were given to them. Some were smart enough not to swallow a bunch of mystery pills... trust me if it was something in the air, all the troops on the front lines would have it.. my ex does not and neither does anyone in his until since none of them took the pills. |

I was on the armored front line that stopped a mile from the outskirts of Baghdad. I didn't take any of the immunizations you referenced because I was a private contractor (as are most of the US forces these days). My cousin took the shots as a tank commander SSG and he has no symptoms of Gulf War Syndrome/Illness. While some may have certain symptoms from the immunizations (which the Army refuse to list what they all were or even acknowledge what they were), it is not the common factor of the Gulf War Syndrome. THE common factor is the airborne chemical & oil pollutants. 3 of my fellow mercenaries have died from those airborne toxins in the past 15 years. 2 of my cousin's fellow soldiers have died from the same. Just goes to prove that your own genetic DNA has all the proof as to your resistance to airborne toxins. You MAY have a legitimate point about the immunizations, but the effects of the airborne oil/chemical toxins coming off the Gulf of Mexico have a direct correlation to the same airborne toxins we breathed in Iraq. The symptoms are the same. I can let you talk to my fellow vets and mercenaries. Civilians of Florida and other Gulf of Mexico coastal states will have the same illness symptoms as have since been experienced in Iraq 1990. Last Edited by Oiled In Florida on 06/05/2010 09:25 PM |

Oiled in Florida (OP) User ID: 993540 United States 06/05/2010 09:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Surely another vet or merc from the 1990 Iraq "Gulf War" is on GLP who can speak up? Civilians here in America are facing the same toxins we faced and - if we're still alive - survived as a minority of our fellow comrades. Perhaps GLP is the wrong place to talk about this... |
