PLEASE can they find a new excuse. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 963441You got that right. This is the first clear night we've had here in the Bay Area in weeks. Nice to see Venus and the stars again. Throw in a couple of spirals and I'm set! |

IVVSI User ID: 988708 Bulgaria 06/06/2010 02:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to spaceflightnow.com] FRIDAY, JUNE 4, 2010 2126 GMT (5:26 p.m. EDT) Musk says the roll oscillation observed during the second stage burn was not expected, but the rocket still reached a near-perfect orbit. Engineers will study the issue before the next flight, which is scheduled for later this summer. 2149 GMT (5:49 p.m. EDT) Independent tracking data indicates the Falcon second stage and Dragon mock-up are circling Earth between 149 miles and 174 miles. The exact orbital parameters will be refined in the coming hours and days. 2358 GMT (7:58 p.m. EDT) SpaceX says they accomplished a second stage restart "burp" to slightly change the Falcon's orbit. That could explain the slightly elliptical orbit being reported by independent tracking data. "We did a test burp of the second stage after orbit insertion, so the current orbit will be a little different than the insertion orbit," Elon Musk tells Spaceflight Now. It's possible that "burp" wasn't intentional and they are covering their asses from the investors and NASA. The Falcon 9 was shooting for a circular orbit 250 kilometers, or 155 miles, high and an inclination of 34.5 degrees. Anyone able to put this into a satellite orbit simulator? |
Halcyon Dayz, FCD User ID: 434868 Netherlands 06/06/2010 12:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So the fact that the ground track of the falcon took it over australia at the exact time the UFO was reported and the fact that it spun once it reached orbit, those are complete coincidences? Anonymous Coward User ID: 940283 Finland 06/06/2010 12:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | too many rocket failures recently maybe spirals are predule to z-pinch plasma discharges? both spirals and z-pinch graphs appear all over the world in ancient stone carvings spirals are not plasma discharge patterns, but because they both appear in the carvings makes me think about the connection |

They were traveling extremely slow. But hey Whats logic and reason when we have someone in a flashy suit telling us that its "most likely" something..I mean not like they would lie or be confused...Everyone knows the masses can never be duped into anything!!! besides health care, genocides, corruption, control, etc |
