WHOA!! BP - Footage of new plume from sea floor!!!!

My neighbor just stopped by. Didn't stay long.


She said "Did you see? They FIXED it!!"

I said "Uh, no they didn't."

She: "Yes they DID, they fixed it- it's on the NEWS!"

Me: "No, they did not fix it."

She: "Well, I think they DID.

Me: "They didn't fix jack shit."

She: "Yes they did."

Me: "There's another leak bigger than this one."

She: "I don't believe that, it's not on the NEWS."

Me: "Sigh.."

She: "Ok, whatever.."

There ya go. This is what most people are thinking right now, it's fixed.

I went through about the same conversation with my mother in law its pretty sad!

Not sure what is going on here... BP Oil Spill footage from 6/5/10. The only leak is supposed to be on the top of the BOP where BP has the Top Cap. I had been watching the Rober 'BOA Deep C' all evening as it was on the sea floor and swimming in a cloud all evening. The description on the bottom of the screen said it was tasked with 'Dispersant Line Inspection'

Then, it came across a broken pipe and a crater. The camera on this Rover is not high quality -- but you can clearly see a large plume in the distance. After a minute, the task changed to 'Original Plume Location inspection.'

Shortly after -- the feed went dead... as of this writing it still sayd 'Oroginal Plume Location Inspection' but the screen is green!

I recorded this -- watch it unfold!

Are they going to cap the cap or cap another leak?

has anyone been able to find a recent satelite pic of the sea in that area, so that we can see the extent of the oil spill .... or are they witholding that info as well?

Aaaand while doing so, the flow rate will increase by another 300%..

I really dont know what we are suppose to see or why this is pinned.. But to me its not evident at all that the sea surface floor is cracking. Not only would it make sense from a physics stand point. Now that the riser has been cut off the flow is coming out more freely and there is less to no back pressure upstream of the BOP so why would surface cracks form on sea floor,,

Just my 2ct... I think BP's idea of this cap thing is pumping more oil out of the broken pipe, so the oil won't get lost, instead of really closing that damn thing.

BP is doing what is best for them, not for the people or the environment.
