WHOA!! BP - Footage of new plume from sea floor!!!!

Although it sounds over the top, I'm starting to think maybe the only way to stop this is to fire off some explosives / small nuclear device deep underground besides the intact pipe to blow it shut with rubble, soil and the pipe being crushed from the explosive force.

Worked in Russia anyway.

Not sure what is going on here... BP Oil Spill footage from 6/5/10. The only leak is supposed to be on the top of the BOP where BP has the Top Cap. I had been watching the Rober 'BOA Deep C' all evening as it was on the sea floor and swimming in a cloud all evening. The description on the bottom of the screen said it was tasked with 'Dispersant Line Inspection'

Then, it came across a broken pipe and a crater. The camera on this Rover is not high quality -- but you can clearly see a large plume in the distance. After a minute, the task changed to 'Original Plume Location inspection.'

Shortly after -- the feed went dead... as of this writing it still sayd 'Oroginal Plume Location Inspection' but the screen is green!

I recorded this -- watch it unfold!






Can someone else try to enter the coordinates shown from this ROV? I tried and it will not show a picture. I am curious to see the location of this ROV when this footage
was taken. I would also like to keep track of the coordinates shown on these ROVs on a map......

Boa Deep C is in the same area right now. Same co-ordinates as the episode yesterday. I should have been an engineer instead of a secretary. lol

Boa deep C is in the same area where I saw the broken pipes yesterday. It says they are installing a co-flex line what ever that is. The co-ordinates are the same as yesterday.

A well known physics professor said nuking would only create a giant underground hollowed out hole from a nuclear bomb he said, that the nuke would vaporize all sediment and turn it into a vulnerable thin layer of glass surrounding the giant underground hole! only then would it collapse and creat more oil than one could imagine! (also a giant sinkhole with potential chance of Tsunami)' the pressure down there is 2000lbs per square inch, thats like putting a car on every inch of your chest!

He also said that nothing is going to work because of the fact that everyone of there operations to fix an oil leak was always at 200 feet where the pressure was sustainable! being at 5000 feet is a whole different story, a whole new world! thats why deep sea drilling is very dangerous.. i personally think were all fucked!

camera#7 is showing the following coordinates this morning:

E = 1202193.12 (degrees easting)
N = 10431322.79 (degrees northing)
D = 4928.4 (feet)

these are UTM coordinates and can be converted to conventional latitude and longitude using the info found here: [link to www.uwgb.edu]

so what are the lat/lon values for the UTM coordinates on camera#7? those are approximately:

latitude = 100.01232
longitude = -316.6564

..which is an error -- the UTM coordinates being displayed by BP are bogus

unless they are not quite UTM coordinates.. perhaps they decode like this:

E 1202193.12 --> 120 degrees 21 minutes 93.12 seconds (west)
N 10431322.79 --> 104 degrees 31 minutes 322.79 seconds (north)

I really dont know what we are suppose to see or why this is pinned.. But to me its not evident at all that the sea surface floor is cracking. Not only would it make sense from a physics stand point. Now that the riser has been cut off the flow is coming out more freely and there is less to no back pressure upstream of the BOP so why would surface cracks form on sea floor,,


because the cheap casing they used is fucked....and who knows how deep down the fucked point is.
