Peachtree Summit Federal Building on West Peachtree Street

A bit over reactive, unless set up as a booby-trap, grenades are safe to handle.

Well, until the pin is pulled, but if that was the case, it would be an explosion being reported if it was a threat.

I give this an 80%+ chance of being a dummy "novelty" grenade though.

ATLANTA -- Parts of Ivan Allen Drive in downtown Atlanta are closed after a report of a suspicious package.

Atlanta police spokesman Otis Redmond said officers received a report of a grenade at the Peachtree Summit Federal Building in the 700 block of W. Peachtree Street.

The building has been evacuated.

I have no clue. There was a fire truck parked in front of the building, so maybe it is the next building over, and they can't get close enough to report from there.
