We're talking MAJOR destruction, here. I ask, that you stay away from major bridges, and DO NOT drive on the Golden Gate! I could be dead wrong, but I'm usually NEVER wrong, please heed this warning. Show me any prediction where you was right. Thanks. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 975529 United States 06/08/2010 09:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In my dream i could hear people screaming and the roar of the tsunami as it came closer to the mountains, the water stopped at the mountains but seemed to slowly crawl up them for about a half a minute then everything was quiet except for the ocean which was still roaring as another wave came in...it was really a scary dream. In my dream it seemed that the earthquake came from north of San Francisco though not from the south. I watched as the Golden Gate bridge twisted and then the large high towers on it started leaning and then it just snapped and fell into the bay with vehicles on it still. It was later afternoon when it happened in my dream in the spring or summer, i would say it was around 4 pm by the position of the sun in my dream. |

I should just attach it to my topics I do have a pretty good tract record, even know I have a record of only being "half" right -- let me explain. Back when I pinpointed two dates, I think this was '07 or '08, I said that there would be a massive earthquake, and it would be where earthquakes wouldn't normally happen; on that first date, there was a massive earthquake in an odd area -- just as I said there would be. There wasn't much on the second date, though. Then, there was the whole "October 31st" (or was it the 30th? I forget, what awhile ago), which ended up being Iceland's bankruptcy. Everyone continues to mock me, because I was incorrect about the moon crashing into the earth, but what the shills fail to mention, is that I was correct about everything leading up to that date! That is, the fireballs, earthquakes, NASA's actions, everything I predicted leading to the moon-crashing event, happened! I mean, who would predict FIREBALLS, successfully? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 642285 United States 06/08/2010 10:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When I lived in the bay area, after the big quake in the 80's, there were lots of interesting articles (remember the freeways had collapsed, the east bay bridge was pancaked, and the 280 and 680 (I think) were shut down and had fallen on top of each other. It was a BITCH to drive around the city for two years or longer. Since I lived in the city then, I had the option of leaving the car at home and taking cabs or public transit, which I did as often as I could manage. I also had a car service on call with a corporate account already set up. So I could call them with a 2 hour notice and say "pick me up at the office, take me to SFO to meet a visitor, and bring us both back to Union Square, drop him off at the hotel and take me home out to St Francis Woods. Getting into and out of the Marina Safeway was a bitch! We would often go to any other grocery to avoid that place for over three years. I had a friend who lived on Marina Blvd and while their house was fine, the road getting to them was impassable for two years. Anyway, I remember reading an article about "What to do if you're on the Golden Gate and a quake strikes". Their advice was hit the accelerator. The last thing you wanted to do was slow down or stop. Fuck the speed limits, pass who you must, but get off the bridge. If it were to begin to topple, it would take some 8 to 10 minutes to get from the first observable movement to full drop into the bay. In that time, even someone who was just entering the bridge would have plenty of time to speed up and get off of it. People who were on the approach were advised to pull their cars across the entry lanes (still on the ground side) and block access to prevent others from starting across. If you were up on the bridge, the advice was to speed like hell but get to the other side. They also pointed out that usually the bridge has 5 or 6 lanes going "with traffic" and two or three going the other way. They also said to use the "wrong way" lanes if you had to. Anything to get off the bridge at the other side. Turning around was not advised unless you were less than 1/2 way and much closer the entry point than the mid point. If you had to turn, you would have to cross the barriers and jump into the reverse lane, and then speed like hell to get off it! I wonder if it was real good advice and if today it would also be considered the right thing to do to save your own ass and the max number of others in the process? I dont' know. I haven't seen anything written about such a thing in years for obvious reasons. Back then, we felt we'd all seen the worst and didn't have much else to fear for a while so it was then (momentarily) okay to talk about such things in the media. That lasted until the roads were repaired and the buildings were jacked up again and the bodies pulled out from the lower levels. NOTE: Always take the highest floor you can afford. Buildings tend to pancake if they're going down. The guy on the 4th or 6th floor has a far better chance of living than the guy on 1 or 2 or 3. Now you see why the charge more for the penthouse all over the world? <grin> |
