Quoting: Anonymous Coward 997339Care Bears and Jellybeans. OP is a tool. There are craters from the nuclear tests. there is measurable radiation. There is a giant chunk of a couple of islands in the pacific that are missing due to nuclear weapons. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 838578 United States 06/09/2010 09:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's not that they don't exist. They need a very complex interaction with the earth's grid to maintain the chain reaction. They can't be thrown around like a conventional explosive. I bet it's really hard to shoot electrons at each other in hopes they finally hit then keep going on it's own then rip the universe apart. Hydrogen one's are really really small. Besides the alien lovers say they just buzz over them and shut them down Quoting: GwizYou do not understand how nukes work, do you? it has absolutely nothing to do with electrons. I understand the physics of how they work and they do not break any know laws of physics. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 995675In fact, its the beautiful and extremely destructive application of the knowledge of physics that allow these weapons to work. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 931457Why don't you use a search engine before you embarrass your self. Of course they are real I thought Canadians had more sense than this. Not all of them. We have the same proportion of mentally substandard, deluded and psychotic as any western nation. In fact it is growing proportionately as more and more uneducated and religiously deluded people are permitted to settle here. |

Dude, I've talked to veterans that were in the Mitsubishi plant across Nagasaki harbour when that atom bomb exploded. They were knocked over by the concussion blast and had burns on their skin. Don't you tell them that atom bombs are a hoax.. |

America needs to look hard at its education system if it is turning out people like that. Or maybe it's a joke.....I hope! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 997915The complexities of detonating a nuke are so incredibly precise that a nuclear war is impossible. Nukes launched at night would not even be able to get started. The famous old movie we see of nukes exploding in the 1950s and so on took vast armies of technicians and a highly complex rigs to mount the bombs on for them to explode and only at a particular time at a certain angle to the sun. For every nuke they sucessfuly detonated hundreds of others failed. The title of the thread should be really "Is Nuclear War A Possibility" and the answer is no. Half a century of scaremongering, media ignorance, Hollywood hype and propaganda. It's a very interesting subject when you start looking into it. We have been sold a lemon to make us all scared. Quoting: Nikki_LaVeyBut that's not the same thing as making them explode in war. A nuke is the ultimate laboratory controlled weapon. It is useless in the field except as a propaganda device which has been their only function for half a century. Show them movies of them exploding in the deserts over and over again... add in movies like The Day After and people become to conditioned into think one can be put in a missle and just shot off when needed. |

(again) Absolute BS. They've exploded nukes at all times throughout the day.. from missiles, artillery shells, under water and above land. Both Hiroshima and Nagasaki exploded on first attempts. The firing mechanism is proven and tested. The yields were a little uncertain in the 50s and 60s, but that has all been ironed out now. A 5 Megaton warhead today, will detonate and produce a 5 Megaton blast anywhere at any time. There is no doubt about this. |
