When I was a boy my me and my mom would go to the Salvation Army to get clothes. I would pick up old Sports Illustrated magazines and ancient Sports Follies videos. Doing so forced me to learn the history of sports before I could catch up to current times. I am a walking sports dictionary and a nerd. Im not trying to toot my horn but my buddies call me to end sports arguments. lol

I remember finding channel listings of games that were coming up. I would flip on the TV hoping to watch the games only to find out that the game was the year before! I couldn't comprehend why I couldn't tune in to ESPN!! lol

I have to give credit to my mother for recognizing that sports helped me heal from the divorce and nurtured my love for sports.
