GOVT. WANTS ISP's TO RECORD BROWSING HISTORY !
Aussie Govt wants ISPs to record browsing history !

Companies who provide customers with a connection to the internet may soon have to retain subscriber's private web browsing history for law enforcement to examine when requested, a move which has been widely criticised by industry insiders.

Re: GOVT. WANTS ISP's TO RECORD BROWSING HISTORY !
in germany already implemented. Government/Police can ask any german ISP who did what with which IpAdress and when..

It's called "Vorratsdatenspeicherung" and was introduced to fight terrorism ( of course .. )

In many terms the law was called illegal after it was in effect and they changed it here and there a bit, but they still record some data and nobody really knows what exactly and for what purpose.

The next step for germany was a "hooligan database", a "children molester database" and they are laws in the making to block parts of the Internet ( childporn pages .. but leaks of the lists revealed that also harmless sites were included ) ..

Face it : It IS alreday "1984".

If you are super paranoid and run a spy network, buy a VPN account and use a public access point along with TOR. Don't forget your one time authentication pads, your Vernam encryption program, and portable Faraday cage.

Good luck Chuck!

Wonder if that applies to those of us who use our mobiles with proxy-based browsers?
