Have you noticed how most the activity is at Katla - it used to be mostly at the Eyja one, but now the reverse is happening, more activity at Katla and just a few around Eyja. I'd say everyone should keep a very close eye on this situation, especially if you are travelling/thinking of travelling - as soon as things really heat up, maybe get a flight back.

If anyone has noticed, there have been no new reports of quakes in the Katla region for over twelve hours. Seemed strange to me, after so much activity (I've been watching it for days.) Then, I checked all the GPS stations ( [link to hraun.vedur.is] the one next to Katla (Godaland) is offline -- I suspect it has been all day. The question is, of course, is it offline on purpose?

That's concerning if they are hiding data from us. I notice there has now been one reported in last 12 hours, but this doesn't seem to follow the pattern that seemed to be developing:

(6/12/10) Wow, I thought the update from yesterday was pretty interesting, but this beats it, by a lot. 11+ earthquakes at Katla in the last 24 hours. 13 earthquakes total, including a couple on the outer ridge of the Katla area. This is the most I’ve ever seen show up on this map, at one time…I think this is very significant and we are getting closer to the eruption. I will keep an even closer eye on this because the activity is increasing quickly. Keep checking back and here is the link to view the quake locations:
