And i have seen it many times. But not to the extent you describe. WOW! I have chased the ones ive seen. But they dont stay around long enough. But based on what ive seen in our "spook light" spot, i believe what you saw is entirely possible. Oddly enough, the color of lights we see are rarely blue. Mostly white, then yellowish, green, sometimes blue and rarely rarely red. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1002355 United States 06/13/2010 10:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have seen ALOT of creepy things here in Arkansas my whole life from spirits to UFO's but after reading MI6's post on this mysterious place he wants to visit and the photo's his friend took i thought i'd share a story of my own. Quoting: BluePrincessIn 1996, A friend and myself were just driving around. We just took off and drove for hours to where ever we ended up. We found ourselves on this gravel road with no houses for about 3 miles until we came to part of the road that was litered with bricks placed perfectly across the road to block it off. Of course my friend has to drive over them. She was crazy. We were in the middle of no where at 3am. The woods were thick and the road was very narrow, we went over two bridges that the car barley fit across. It was about IDK 30-45 minutes we kept going down this road with no places to turn around. Almost like the road straight to hell it seemed. I started to get this creepy feeling and we saw a break in the trees ahead on the right side of the road. It was an old house with a very large tree in the front that had an x drawn on it with a circle around it. I don't know if that has a meaning? We stopped and looked at the house for a sec because it was oddly outta place. As we countinued on all of the sudden in the distance there were wierd blue light coming towards us. A few turned into hundreds in a minute and it looked like these lights were swirling and racing at us fast. I started screaming and my friend put the car in reverse and started flying backwards down the road. It didnt matter these lights just kept coming. When they got close to the car they looked like blue fire balls so i closed my eyes. I opened them when the inside of the car started to light up and saw the balls of light flashing through and around our car. She had to stop a moment we were so scared. I saw the image of a face in one of the balls outside the window and she started flying backwards again. Once we got far enough back they disappeared. We went straight home in complete shock. A few nights later we tried to go back to this place with some friends and could never find it again. I have since looked for this place to just to see if it really existed because it was so unreal.FREAKY! Does anyone know what an x with a circle around it means? and have any of you ever seen anything like this? Ive seen one of those blue flashy things on the side of the road near moscow arkansas |

Quoting: BluePrincessAccording to Porphyry of Tyros, the Egyptians used an X within a circle as a symbol of the soul. And if you look at this site, there is a worldwide phenom going on concerning light circles (Xs surrounded by a circle): [link to www.taracanada.com] I originally thought these light circles were nothing special, just a weird reflection of the sun (which they are), but I had my own paranormal experience that involved these light circles - and so now I am now certain that they are a type of miracle - no doubt about it. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 994565 United States 06/13/2010 10:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I grew up in Arkansas. I have lived most my life in Texas but I have fond memories of Arkansas and it's strangeness. I have seen gravity defied near Eureka springs and ghost at Pea ridge. Real confederate soldiers in my very presence. I lived in Ft, Smith but often went to the back woods with my family in the Ozarks. It was a place out of time and locked in the distant past. I personally experienced the Faulk monster in 1966 but don't care to say much about that other than it was terrifying and I'd rather not think about it. There was a fellow who had escaped from and insane asylum killing a few folks there at the time so I guess it could have been him but the sounds at night were unusual and us kids hid deep under the covers after dark. Our mothers made very sure we came in when the sun was going down. It's a wonderful state to be a young boy, I have found mini balls at Prairie grove battlefield and arrowheads almost everywhere. I've lived all over the world thanks to the military and a Belgian wife but If i get a chance I may live again in Arkansas the weirdest place I've seen. |

(when burning a possessed quija) Quoting: BluePrincessDo tell plz first of all, don't even mess with a quija or allow one to be brought into your home. a quija board's like a 'door' to the spirit world that any noob can open but very few can 'close'. first messed with one harmlessly when 15, and was contacted by a spirit. fast forward 8 years later, was watching others play with one at a party. the spirit they were channeling said it new somebody in the room. that somebody, it said, was me. when asked it's name, it used the same name from 8 years earlier. i was the only one at that party that could have known or remembered that name. I'm not even comfortable repeating it here. the whole episode gave everybody a chill. i advised them to close the channel and ask it to say goodbye. it refused to go. in the days that followed, the bad luck started. everybody who had anything to do with that session and that house, all had random events of really bad fortune in their lives shortly after. we all knew it was the board. a 'sensitive' was invited to help. she immediately sensed the entity and asked what name it gave. once told, she turned white. she told us to burn the board. this turned out to be a ritual. i'll spare you the details, but i'll never forget what we saw lifting out of the flames. blue flames. |

The forest is a very dark place and I mean that more than literally. I never want to and hope never need to live in that state ever again. There is much darkness of all kinds there....perhaps even portals. |

Fine school which had a German cook at the time. Learned to love bratwurst and various sausage and potatoes at the time. Bet school kids today don't get a boiled egg sauerkraut and a sausage for lunch! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 994565 United States 06/13/2010 11:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Folks I could take you to an old flooded mine in Arkansas that would scare your hair white unless it's already white like mine. It's number 7 in Huntington Arkansas, out in the woods and flooded for many many decades. Miners lost their life there due to an equipment failure.{so common huh?} I've heard noises there no human should hear in those dark woods but it was a popular swimming hole for us kids for a long time. Arkansas was a place out of time for many years . When I was a boy in Ft. Smith the Klan would rally at Creekmore park on Saturdays and i hear this continued into the early 70s. My great aunts used to pin some crazy pin made of human hair and silver to us kids clothes to protect us from the devil when we were kids. I'm sure Arkansas has moved into the 21st century now but it's a shame because the old ways are to be treasured. |
