Layered Lucid Dream and Sleep Paralysis IN DREAM STATE
In my 20 some years I've had dozens of lucid dreams, many layered dreams (dream within a dream within a dream within etc...), sleep paralysis, open to OBEs and all that, but never do I recall experiencing what I did during a long nap today.

First I was in a non-lucid dream that was very symbolic and mystic in nature (I can share details for anyone who is interested) and it turned terrifying at the end. I was confronted with a force that felt evil. Its physical manifestation was symbolic and powerful, very disturbing. Then I "woke up" (note, still in dream state)
and then my dream became lucid. I was lying in a bed in a room I did not recognize and felt aware that I was in a dream state and that I had awoken from a terrifying dream. But I was paralyzed. It endured for what seemed like several minutes. My mind was shouting out for help, which I don't normally do during sleep paralysis. I could see something under my covers, a shape similar to a mountain peak, and it felt evil. I felt scared. Eventually I woke up (for real this time) and recalled both dream experiences in great detail and wrote everything down.

Has anyone else experienced a lucid sleep paralysis dream state? Please note this is different than sleep paralysis where you are observant of the room your physical body is sleeping in.

Also please note I do not even believe in "evil" or that sleep paralysis is manifestation or visitation of evil presence. So I don't know how to understand this experience and I recognize we may have differing views. I'm just looking to connect with others who may be able to help me understand what happened.

Thank you for reading.

I haven't had that experience, but 'dream'states come in multitudes and you just had a new layered one :)

I've had similar dreams. I don't know the meanings but they appear at random times. I know the difference between lucid dreams and the ones similar to yours. I don't know the meaning of these dreams though. It felt more like a nightmare though.

I had no control and I was screaming, something I don't normally do. In my dream I was laying on a bed and these dark figures were enclosing from the top corners of the walls. My body started shaking but I shook out of the dream before anything else could happen.

Then a year later I had another dream similar with some dark figures in it. This time they had me pinned to the ground and were circling my body. One of them started grabbing my head and slamming it against the floor. It felt so real that I shook out of it and was grasping for air afterwards.

About 5 months later, around march, I had another one. It was more based on feeling and most of it is hard to remember. The feeling was similar to the other two dreams. I tried making myself in control during these dreams but I never can for some reason.

I'm still uneasy about dreams though. Some appear so out of tuned that I think it's just a gathering of our most recent thoughts. The deeper I go down the dream thoughts, the more akward things get. As if my mind thinks about something a minute before it happens. It's hard to tell the difference between a coincidence and something that happens often.

Re: Layered Lucid Dream and Sleep Paralysis IN DREAM STATE
Actually yes, last night. I woke up from a dream into a dream, where I was on sleeping in a bed, sort of bed since it was a pile of ropes and other junk, I was on ship and could smell the sea and feel the ship movements through waves ... and somebody was holding me tight from my back so I couldn't move, didn't see that but it was like glued very tight to my body, got scared and tried to break free, unsuccesfully many times, until finally mananed to free myself ... and at that moment I woke up in my bed in exactly the same position with my mind still having the memory of the dream and very rapidly vanishing memory of the dream that it was inside, no memory of it at all anymore.

But I was feeling very energetic the moment I woke up, then went into the dream again, and the rest of the night was full of vivid dreams and just woke up with a clear mind, like lots of junk have been erased.

Before going into bed last night I had a long sream of pre-dreams, which started just after I closed my eyes, emerging patterns, fields, lights, formations, morphing, interlimiting visuals of abstracts not from this world, but like watching the internals of my mind's work, reminding Matta's art, and a criss-cross of memories that I did not even know I remember. This kind pre-dreams I mean:

Re: Layered Lucid Dream and Sleep Paralysis IN DREAM STATE
I have experienced something very similar. I had an experience of waking up and starting my day with nothing
out of the ordinary. When something did seem to stick out of my dream as being different from reality.. ( my kitchen floor being wood instead of tile ) I woke up, or so i thought. I woke up and started my "real" day with nothing
again seeming out of the ordinary untill something did again stick out and again I "woke up". I did this through many layers, continuing to think that I had woken up when I was just entering into another dream. It was a terrifying experience and I am still trying to figure it out.

What you do is you charge at them
It will end that way you just go with it
It may be frightening but, if you are aware in a dream you can do this, if you can't move in the dream rush at them with your thought, they will feel that you are not falling for it
Even if they are infact other entities or part of your own dream imagination its the same deal, bite the fear and go go go

I've had several of those - usually when having bouts of insomnia. They generally happen when you are cycling through sleep stages too fast... scary but nothing to freak over. Are you having sleep issues? Feel better.

False awakening, look it up. Kinda scary at first, but you get used to it.

Okay, I'm not too sure what this is but I know it freaked me out! I had a dream just last night where this thing was trying to drag me off of my bed. I remember I tried screaming but no sound was coming out and no one was coming to my rescue. Next thing I knew, I found myself in my parents room trying to tell them what happened. I woke up for real very panicked because I couldn't tell if it had actually happened or not :s I was terrified though.
