Anonymous Coward User ID: 1003176 China 06/16/2010 10:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The folks in the Gulf region are still in the first stage. I keep waiting for the Anger to really set in...it is taking a hell of a long time. Five stages of grief 1 - Denial Denial is a conscious or unconscious refusal to accept facts, information, reality, etc., relating to the situation concerned. It's a defence mechanism and perfectly natural. Some people can become locked in this stage when dealing with a traumatic change that can be ignored. Death of course is not particularly easy to avoid or evade indefinitely. 2 - Anger Anger can manifest in different ways. People dealing with emotional upset can be angry with themselves, and/or with others, especially those close to them. Knowing this helps keep detached and non-judgemental when experiencing the anger of someone who is very upset. 3 - Bargaining Traditionally the bargaining stage for people facing death can involve attempting to bargain with whatever God the person believes in. People facing less serious trauma can bargain or seek to negotiate a compromise. For example "Can we still be friends?.." when facing a break-up. Bargaining rarely provides a sustainable solution, especially if it's a matter of life or death. 4 - Depression Also referred to as preparatory grieving. In a way it's the dress rehearsal or the practice run for the 'aftermath' although this stage means different things depending on whom it involves. It's a sort of acceptance with emotional attachment. It's natural to feel sadness and regret, fear, uncertainty, etc. It shows that the person has at least begun to accept the reality. 5 - Acceptance Again this stage definitely varies according to the person's situation, although broadly it is an indication that there is some emotional detachment and objectivity. People dying can enter this stage a long time before the people they leave behind, who must necessarily pass through their own individual stages of dealing with the grief. |

And, as you say, let's not forget the geography. We know a fault line runs right up along the Mississippi River through lake Michigan and into Candada. So many catastrophic events can now take place with this one 'mistake.' |

If what is going around has any bases of fact then the final outcome may be a catastrophe no seen since Mt. Vesuvius erupted in Roman times. The mechanism of the proposed event could have several different effects either as independent calamity or in combination. the issue surround the escape of gas. It has been reported that untold volumes of gas are forming huge bubbles suspended in the ocean. These are measured in miles not feet in size. Eventually these bubbles will surface and at that point rupture and take the form of a gigantic release explosion. The gases are both toxic and flammable. It is conceivable that the explosive force of such a gas bubble can induce a Tsunami effect. As the gas modules near the surface, all buoyancy of the water is lost, and anything floating in the vicinity would sink. This includes ships and other drill platforms. I do not need to explain outcomes of these effects. I am stating these things without knowing if there is a bases of fact to them and I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the phenomena as described. Normally I would not write about unconfirmed situations but in this case I have made an exception. There are two elements that are absolutely true. 1. Oil is and has been leaking at an alarming rate for over sixty days. 2. Gas has been leaking at an alarming rate for over sixty days. The end result of such a catastrophic event are not clearly known and it appears the authorities are not being forthright about what is transpiring or what consequences could emerge. It is for that reason I am publishing this. It is too far a large possible catastrophe to stay silent. Perhaps the life of even one person may be saved if they have been given the chance to read this. Publishing in error has no consequence. I am including two video audio tracks in support of the theory here. And also a 2003 Science report which supports what is being said. Read more and distribute. Perhaps User ID: 947909 United States 06/16/2010 10:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The fact is... this release has the potential to run for years. The reason not much is happening is because deep in the bushes "they know this." Quoting: TapeWormAny attempt beyond picking at it is liable to collapse the entire cavity resulting in a catastrophic release of the entire contents in one fell swoop. Even without such provocation this might happen anyway through natural cavitation and high pressure erosion. The thing right now is to come to grips with the stark reality. The Gulf and the region is toast. The only thing that could help right now is getting people to stop hoping and get real. How does this translate... Mop up of a continuous bleed is heroic but hopeless. Making plans to relocate as many people and specie away from certain toxic demise is the only viable action. Continuing false hope is the worst possible strategy... as each day slips by the reality will become harder to face and deal with. While people are floundering around picking up tar and whatever else... they could be engaged in evacuation and relocation of as many specie as possible. The door will soon be closed on this one faint hope clause. I know this is tough and heartless sounding but it is tough love. That entire seaboard and marshland is a write off NOW, for generations to come. Hope is a certain killer, no matter how elegant it is expressed. I would like to argue with you but I see things going downhill from here on out. I am about 100 mi from the Gulf of Mexico. Downhill in ways we cannot yet fathom |
