Oklahoma is poised to become the first state in the nation to ban state judges from relying on Islamic law known as Sharia when deciding cases.
Sorry, NOT allowed, under the
First Amendment of the Constitution.
The government can't FORCE you to use Sharia Law, but it ALSO can't deny you the right to choose it.
Read it again skippy. The first ammendment says in part that, "
congress shall pass no law". That applies to Washington DC, not Oklahoma. States have the power to pass their own laws.
And just HOW, Buckwheat, did you MISS the part of the First Amendment that says "
OR THE FREE PRACTICE THEREOF"??
Sharia Law IS religious, therefore Muslims are FREE to choose Sharia Law, under the First Amendment!!
THAT should be VERY clear to anyone that has a working brain, but it's obviously NOT clear enough for many GLPers.
