He probably meant 80,000 of gushing oil and existing oil combined, but said it wrong.

....Again, On the Alex Jones show Lindsey Williams informed the world that his "source" last week confirmed that it was 4 to 5 million gallons a day. And that was a conservative estimate.

No, he said what he meant, and he is probably underestimating it since there are so many fissures they really don't know how much is leaking.

I had heard lots of estimates but this is the first time I heard something like this number from BP or MSM sources. And funny enough it was right from the horses mouth.

If it was 4 million gallons a day, that would be about 95K barrels? (4 million divided by 42 = 95,238)

It may be a lot more than 80,000 barrels a day as the containment vessel only has so many nozzles to collect oil from. It is safe to say that it is 100,000+ barrels a day and that would be a low estimate.

Matthew Simmons pegged it at 120,000 barrels (approximately 5 million gallons) a day many weeks ago. Aside from this site and a few other places, NO ONE wants to admit the DOOM.

I was screwing around using the flowmeter readings on the Bop camera the other day and came up with a range of 71,650 to max of approx 88,000 barrels a day. Or a range of about 3-3.5 million gallons a day. I think I'm close.

It's 250,000 barrels per day people. We were listening to Anderson Cooper the other night. Can't stand the bastard but you've got to listen and read between the lines of what the MSM says. He was saying that it could be spewing anywhere from (I forget) to as much as 250,000 barrels per day. You can always trust the actual amount to be higher than their high estimate. They must break the public in slow... hearts would have stopped and mass panic would have broken out if they'd have come out and said it 100,000 barrels per day six weeks ago. Break the news slow... 1k, 5k, 10-20k, 40-60k and now 80-100k. It's a minimum of 250,000k!!!!

This is because BP has not been honest when reporting their estimate of oil loss.

For that reason, we cannot blame Obama's administration for their response because we were all being lied to!

Remember "oil" leaking is different from "how much is coming out of the well"!!

If it is 1/2 gas then 50,000/bpd of oil would mean that 100,000/bpd of hydrocarbons (oil & gas) is coming out of the well. That would put the total Hydrocarbons being expelled at 4.2 million gallon equivalents (but of course one doesn't measure gas by gallons)

This being the case, seems like they are floating the idea that the well will never be plugged also.

"Ability to capture 80,000 bpd"...doesn't mean they are....I said it's been about 60k bpd from very early on.

All you have to do is check out the amount of dispersant used...it's a 100-1 ratio....take the gallons used...times 100...and there ya go...divide by 42 for a barrel...divide by number of days...there yas go...simple.

1.3 million gallons = 130 million gallons of oil.

3,095,238 million barrels \ 57 days (yesterdays total)


54,302 barrels per day average and that's OIL...no gas involved....

A little slower in the beginning....faster now...so....right around 60k bpd.

most people can't fathom the pressure needed to even get oil to spill out at those depths, and how the oil will spread outward as it rises and reaches less pressurized waters.

They thought they could fool people knowing most even I bet most government representatives would not even think about the pressure equation.

Even BP in their own disclosure prior to all of this said, "a 165,000bbpd leak wouldn't even hit the coast."

250k bbpd is a CONSERVATIVE guess. Probable range is more like 300-500kbbpd

Imagine the chaos and immediate loss of confidence in BP and the government if they admitted it to be 120,000 barrels a day the week after they said it was only 5000.


They will continue to revise the flow number until they've landed at whatever official number they want to history books to reflect. If they're saying 80,000 we can be damn near sure its 160,000 at this point.
