Damn Crazy Frog advert.....(UK)

Damn I hate that thing itmakes me want to go on a murderous rampage, we have it here in aus

It´s been getting even more airtime via satellite.

It is on the terrestrial channels ALL the time. Often two in a row, exactly the same!!

Plus, how many people are going to want a ringtone that potetially everyone will have? It wouldn´t happen...

Seems a bit odd to saturate the market with one (not very good) ringtone...

Then my mind wanders to other reasons...

Another is the original was played so much to get people used to it THEN the switch was made with ´extras´ now unnoticed by everyone.

I have too much time on my hands...

I´m not sure about the terrestrials, but on satellite it´s been playing for at least 6 months now if not 9 months. ugh. Same thing, it plays back to back or with an advert in between. ANN-OY-ING!

It is literally on all the time on all advertising channels, me and my mate were playing for 50p to see if we could guess when it would come on, and then they would play it twice. It´s got everyone talking about it, at a wedding yesterday it filled a good hour topic of debate, everyone hates it but can´t stop singing "ding ding". My mate is a teacher and all the kids love it and are constantly singing it! My mum wants it on her old crappy phone....my mum!?!?!

They either have far too much money or there is something sinister going on lol!

Any way of being able to break them down to look at all frames and frequencies???

Also had the thought with the Mercedes advert with the kalidoscope effect and the foal/tortoise. Could definitely hide a ´magic eye´ type picture in there.....

WOW Ive been saying this to my family for a few weeks too.

This frog makes me feel angry when it comes on.

Reminds me of that Halloween film where that tune comes on the television and mind controls all the children.

What about the ringtone chicks. That annoys me too.

Yes! They have been running the annoying frog, reggae dancing rhino and other crappy ringtone ads in the US non-stop for months. A company called "Jam-ster" runs ads one after another especially late at night. I´m glad I´m not the only one that sensed nefarious undercurrents while watching them.

Coincidentally, just been reading an article about colour coding and low-light subliminals that replaced the frame inserts on Godlike....Will find the thread.....

And sound is even easier to compress and ´squirt´ hence that digitised frog-bastard which allegedly came from a child making ´brrm brrm´ noises then speeded up!

Exactly HH. Buying that much airtime in any market or on local cable and satellite outfits costs quite a bit. Does it seem likely that a seemingly "out-of-nowhere" cellphone ringtone reseller could afford it?

geez its even hard to find a mobile phone with a ringtone composition these days. it just shows you how much of a monopoly ring tones have become.

It is the most annoying ad I have ever seen, I hope the thing that is chasing him eventually catches him.

It received a complaint - not for the mindless repetition - but that the frog was anatomically correct (for a male frog).

Now it has been blacked out (wtf?).....

One suggestion made elsewhere was that the BBC had bought up the airtime to force people to turn over from the commercial channels!!

It will force you to turn over the channel to get away from it. Then you will forget about what you were watching anyway, and try and find somthing else, then of course you stumble on to the advert yet again, and it pisses you off so much you turn the the tv off and go mow the fucking lawn,(idealy shredding up several frogs in the process!!!)

What about the really nice advert that has lots of nature and pretty hippy images all about love and things and the catchy song through it was that Hate is good. It was all about diesal engines. I cant remember whos though.

I loved that advert for ages before I actually listened to myself singing Hate is good.

The more worrying thing is the amount of chav´s that are paying for this shit with giro´s and our tax´s whilst living it up with an army of little chav´s on 30 grand a year in benefits.
Fucking hell it makes me mad.
