GOVERNMENT TAKE OVER OF THE INTERNET BEING FAST TRACKED!!
Bill would put DHS in charge of all civilian networks

[link to www.federalnewsradio.com]

New legislation expected to be introduced today would give the Homeland Security Department broad new authorities and powers over federal civilian networks.

The bill, however, does not include a "kill switch" for private sector networks, as widely reported previously.

[link to www.federalnewsradio.com]

The latest and most comprehensive bill to change how agencies secure their computer networks is on the fast track.

Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.), one of the principle sponsors of the Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act of 2010, says the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, which he is the chairman of, will hold a hearing June 15 and mark the bill up about a week later, June 23. He wants to report the bill out of committee before the July 4 recess.

The bill now becomes one of more than 40 introduced during the 111th Congress. Some of the more prominent bills include the Cybersecurity Act of 2010 from Sens. John Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) and Olympia Snowe (R-Maine), the International Cyberspace and Cybersecurity Coordination Act of 2010 from Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), the Cybersecurity Enhancement Act of 2010 from Rep. Daniel Lipinski (D-Ill.) and several amendments to the House version of the Defense Authorization bill from Reps. Jim Langevin (D-R.I.), Diane Watson (D-Calif.) and Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.).

there are more than 40 cyberbills and with all the shit going on in the gulf I'm sure at least one of these will pass. Maybe the same provision is written into each one?

Barack Obama's regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein wants all "conspiracy theories" banned.

Not only is that a direct attack on human rights, journalists, news companies and freedom in all areas of life but it is truly a idiotic statement to make.

In a 2008 Harvard Law paper called "Conspiracy theories" Cass Sunstein asks what can be done about conspiracy theories.

The paper contained to specific questions

Government might ban conspiracy theorizing.

This means that you are not allowed to ask any questions. You must believe everything that is represented to you how it is without asking any questions you must believe the government, if you do ask questions you will be jailed? This is bizarre.

the sun flares the MSM has been talking about..but they will only kill the internet switch..

and most people are so basically scientifically inept, they will think the internet is down, i only have one channel on TV, because some were destroyed by the EMP, but i have my refrigerator.

they will buy it in a second, thinking it's some sun thing, not knowing there is no such thing as a selective EMP pulse/flare.

trust me people are that stupid.

well not all of them.

Gubmint's track record on controlling much of anything ain't so hot.

Can they keep illegals out?

War on drugs anybody?

How about the economy?

Food safety?

Regulation of oil drilling safety?

They take anybody's guns away yet? (Not that I want them to)

Cass Sunstein is a total Harvard NWO weenie, just like Obama. Probably never done an honest day's work, either one of them. (Don't start in on that shit, I don't like democrats OR republicans)

They won't be censoring any conspiracy theories on the internet.

Look at the fine work of Duncan Kunz, G. House and Shnook Airlines for an excellent example of a total waste of effort.

No matter what the government and media tells you, know that it is impossible for anyone to shut down the internet, thanks to something called packet switching. They can only turn off your access. They would also have to turn off your phone line.

Granted, the websites you visit now would likely not exist, but the internet will not be gone. Find some friends overseas now that you can talk to about what's going on. You may need them in case something happens.

Ham radio is a really good back up for this kind of shit. You don't need a license just to listen; only to transmit. The license test for the 1st level is really easy and there's free internet study sites. 1st level license test costs $14.00 There are plenty of good used ham radios around, too.
