nomind User ID: 904314 Canada 06/18/2010 07:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Score: 45 (male) No surprise there. I do have an issue with the test, in that it assumes a baseline situation, and not learned behavior from an adult perspective. As in, some of the questions, due to learned behavior (teaching yourself to do certain things the 'expected' way), will mean that some might score under the borderline level, but actually still be above the borderline. Same reason, except 29 for me. (btw "anti-social" means psycopathic...) You probably meant social avoidance, social anxiety. Anti-social in no way means "psychopathic". Anti-social behaviour (with or without hyphen) is behaviour that lacks consideration for others and that may cause damage to society, whether intentionally or through negligence, as opposed to pro-social behaviour, behaviour that helps or benefits society (Berger 2003, p. 302). In common parlance antisocial is often used to describe those perceived to be excessively introverted, an incorrect though increasingly common usage. or Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD or APD) is defined by the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual as "...a pervasive pattern of disregard for, and violation of, the rights of others that begins in childhood or early adolescence and continues into adulthood (both wikipedia entries) My Interesting Karma messages: - "You are an idiot. I bet if you took enough time, you could find a pattern of people with the higher scores tend to believe the most outragious conspiracy theories. I scored a 12 and dont believe any of the crap on this forum. Im just here for shits and giggles. |

You probably should do some basic research before replying, to verify if what I'm saying is correct. To add on to what nomind said.. Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD or APD) is defined by the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual as "...a pervasive pattern of disregard for, and violation of, the rights of others that begins in childhood or early adolescence and continues into adulthood."[1] The individual must be age 18 or older, as well as have a documented history of a conduct disorder before the age of 15.[1] People having antisocial personality disorder are sometimes referred to as "sociopaths" and "psychopaths." |

I was diagnosed as low functioning autistic as a child. 35. I read your thoughts on Ass Burgers in another thread and I thought they were very astute. I'd diagnose myself that way, as I've had to learn systematicaaly what makes the Machine People tick, as I suspect some of us do. I was very socially maladept as a child and found even other children incomprehensible. I've learnt to read people and their lies in the same way as I've thought through physics-by breaking it all down into a System. Strange world where sanity is diagnosed as its opposite. |

It is disgusting that we call our children such a nasty word. I understand the supposed reason behind it, but there are times to make an exception to some rules. 40 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1007733No surprise, really. Except that you didn't read it, and saying that people who treat anyone who isn't conforming with brutality and extreme prejudice aren't "sane" is not the same thing as saying, "all normal people are crazy while us autistics are not." Or hey, maybe it is sane. In which case, I'm pretty damned pleased to be "mentally ill." Thank god for favors. I take exception to that, because I certainly don't believe any of those conspiracy theories, and I scored 45. In fact I would assume high scores would generally correlate to less belief in 'far out' theories, for certain reasons. My Interesting Karma messages: - "You are an idiot.
