that's what i thought too, that it had taken on a whirlwind movement instead of the gushing. it's like the the force just intensified a whole lot. seems like that may mean something just fell apart in there and let it fly. that well head is toast.

Can we start referencing a camera number please.

at least 4 rov's had gathered around the bop to work on something. they were all moving into place and one looked like it had something on a cable...
i had them impression they may be trying to remove the cap or put something on top of it........
then i was called outside to help with something and darned if when i returned i see this...i missed all the good and important stuff

They're using some sort of thruster to blow the oil out of the way so they can close those valves on top. Thats what it looks like to me.

New to watching this is there normally that amount of cloudy oily mess coming out??

looks to me like they might be capping it and closing serveral different valves if they get lucky

The cap thingy (that's a technical term) has 4 vents. They are closing those vents over the next few days (according to BP's site).

Looks to me like they just partially close another vent (cam #2).

That is a FUCKTON of oil...

After looking at the Ocean Intervention III cam, that is blowing a SHIT TON of oil! They're capturing 25k/day at the surface now. But seriously, I have little doubt that thing right now is blowing close to a 100k/day. That's just friggin nuts.
