I cant watch that cam. Its so incredibly disturbing.

I noticed that....almost as if all cams are not real time....some are previous loops.....wish I knew for sure, because they just don't jive.....

I worked for GS for a time doing temp work. The data I proofread had a lot to do with prediction of natural disasters, especially earthquakes in Japan. 40 million from the Gulf would be a good start.


If they continue to tell you that things are fine and there is no need to relocate, it may be a clue.

Well...looked at some vids...I'd say it IS is blowing out more from underneath right now, but without knowing what they are doing?...it's impossible to know if they backed off uptake...or if the well is just having an uptik...or if they ARE dealing with a problem.

It is odd the vent was open...that is the fitting the ROV/BOT...I like calling em bots...lol...that is one of the fittings the bot had a wrench on....I only saw it open...so not sure if the bot opened it...or if it was open...but as far as I know...they were closed...the vents allow oil and gas to escape and helps to stop hyfrates from forming and clogging the pipe up to the ship.

The riser pipe is still there...that was the pipe which was on cam for awhile...so that is good news...they didn't break that off...

They would not be doing anything to this cap in regards to doing the "direct connect" as the cap does not affect any pressure inside the BOP and is designed not to. They are supposed to be bringing that online soon and what the hold up is I do not know...if that functions well?...you will see a drop in output of the oil being lost around the bottom of the cap. The way that works?....they connect a pump to the choke and kill lines...these lines tap in at almost the bottom of the BOP...when they turn on the pumps above...or even just open the valves on the manifold...the oil and gas will get extracted from the source right at the internals of the bop...it'll be like the well just flows less...and in theory?....the cap will be second line of defense and it "Should" have less to capture and be able to keep up better...

In the meantime volume shooting out?....HAS gone up IMO....so what they are dealing with or screwing up?....could be any number of unknowns...but the result is more oil for now anyway...if I were to guess?....I'd say they got a bit clogged up, opened the vents...and backed off the pumps and either are hoping it will clear out...or will inject more methanol hoping to melt the ice out...

When is the last time someone saw the new cap on the cams? Is it still there, or did they remove it? Like trying a test fit? Is the first yellow cap still on there? Im on dial up, and cant see anything of what is going on?

Thank you. I was thinking maybe I'm just overly suspicious but then can you be overly suspicious of the intentions (whatever they truly are!) of BP and friends?

To recap for others:
We saw what looked like the rov caught in a swirling mass of crap. Nobody could tell where the bop was or if it even was still standing. People on here were claiming they saw the cap (or something like it, something big) fall over. Several cam views showed leaks (and lots of chaos) but we couldn't discern which one was the bop if any. Then we suddenly have this nice, clear view of the bop but without any time/date stamps or any info at all. Imo it was a "move along, nothing to see here folks" kind of moment.

The guys who pull the bots out of the water wear no protective Gear, gloves, masks, etc... would they be on a boat directly over the massive volcano of toxic crap. you would think that the bots might be contaminated & sitting directly over the spewing vent hold would be hazardouse

I am new to really looking at these cams. It makes me sick looking at the corexit being injected. I think they are using that dispersant just to hide massaive amounts of the oil from us.

Did you see pics of them or was it on one of the cams at some point? That does strike me as very odd.
