I have skin in the game here--- I own a house on the gulf coast.. and you obviously live in Australia--- win NO skin in the game.

A cleanup in the gulf is not so important to YOU. IT IS TO ME.

I desperately WANT them to use 100 of these machines RIGHT NOW.

Each V-20 can extract 2,000 barrels of oil PER DAY from a spill.

THis means that 50 of these machines can currently remediate the flow from this well... if indeed the V20 works as claimed...

If it doesn't work as claimed, then its just another fraud... and it only cost $500,000 per machine.. less than 5 minutes of the Iraq war cost.

Im wiling to bet that this spill will "stop" as soon as BP gets its fake Cap and Trade legislation rammed through the senate... BP spent millions trying to ram this un-environmental atrocity down our throats.

I have written my representatives to tell them that thousands of their constituents see through this crap...

Hell, send in 1000 of the V20's. The tooling up time for 70 machines will be the same. And they are indicating it will be at that capacity by the end of July. THAT in itself is impressive, if not unbelieveable.

Yes, if these rigs are pulled across the ocean and start drilling elsewhere, they will not be back. It is insane to continue to support purchasing and using crude obtained by drilling in a manner that cannot be safe. Regardless of whether the drilling is in the GOM or Africa.

If this is an instance of living with earth-killing oil spills, or living without oil, then let's live without oil which will reduce the population and save the earth. I'll step to the front of the line to live without oil and plastics. Just give me back the Gulf of Mexico with white sand beaches and clear water.

Believe me, I wish these spinners where capable of doing the job. By their own admission, they are a device to be used at the time of a blow out. Under normal conditions.
By their own admission, the primary concern is to lift the Moratorium.
It beggars belief these devices are being touted as a solution to this situation.
Do not be fooled into thinking the PRIMARY role of these devices is to clean the gulf.

Think about it...Obama's approval rating is 40% and dropping...if he can get Costner's machines in and clean up this mess, lift the moratorium on Gulf Drilling and start more drilling with the assurance that any future incidents will have these devices on hand to clean up any spill with minimal impact to environment and economy...

Obama's the hero, November mid-term elections preserve the democratic majority, oil is in abundance, gas prices plummet, 2012 Obama is re-elected.
