Costners Machines to be used to lift Moratorium on Gulf Drilling | |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 994279 Australia 06/19/2010 12:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | About three days ago, I sat with Kevin, and Rahm Emanuel, the Chief of Staff. We told him that we were working with Edison Chouest, and we want to put a proposal before the administration so that we can basically lift the moratorium,. because we have an ability to drill safely. We have - with these machines - an ability that these rigs can operate safely. People, these centrifuge ARE NOT to clean up the oil. They are to allow the lifting of the moratorium so drilling can CONTINUE. The clean up is a secondary concern. [link to www.ngoilgas.com] |

The biggest issue facing us is the moratorium is crippling the industry. The rig operators alone, the leaseholders, are losing $16 million a day. Now that's just the people that lease the rigs to the industry. This from the mouth of CEO John Houghtaling, Ocean Therapy Solutions. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 994279 Australia 06/19/2010 01:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | THIS is the V20 [link to www.ots.org] And this is ALL that Ocean Therapy Solutions has to say about it?? The V20 CIP centrifuge has a 20" (50.8 cm) diameter rotor and features Integrated Clean-In-Place. It has a throughput of up to 200 GPM and has bearings on both the top and bottom of the rotor. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 994279 Australia 06/19/2010 01:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Look, we all know it is a pony show to placate the masses. The first images most people will see is of a unit working to clean the surface oil. Then another. Then another. The hype will slowly build. The BP execs will be able to go to Obama with a SOLUTION to a PROBLEM, the very problem of the moratorium. Obama will then be able to LIFT the moratorium and CONTINUE drilling. The moratorium is over SAFETY, not the fact that a shit load of crap has already fouled, and will continue to foul the oceans for the next 2 decades. Anyone seen the deployment of these V20 units on the MSM? Watch it carefully. It is being downplayed. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 994279 Australia 06/19/2010 01:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Bump again this Has anyone figured this out yet? Tell me its already been posted. We all know Kevvies machines are a spin (excuse the pun) for the appearance of doing something. The true reason they got this into gear so quickly is it will allow Obama to placate the masses ENOUGH to lift the moratorium |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 994279 Australia 06/19/2010 01:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Definitely important news here. You will all be jumping up and down wondering JUST HOW the moratorium was lifted. Sure its a desperate gambit, but knowing just how fucking dark and evil these corporate slave masters are, DO NOT be surprised if it works. The spinners are mere window dressing. But I'm talking to myself again. To much for GLP to take in *sigh* |

(After I thought it was a good thing) Ole Kev's tool is just what they need to keep us on the oil.. |

But I'm talking to myself again. To much for GLP to take in *sigh* Im with ya Op, I just don't know if it is HAT diabolical just yet. I doubt that there will be ANY lifting of the moratorium any time soon; that is, in the open - perhaps behind closed doors. I certainly hope not! If you want to know if this is true. Watch VERY VERY closely for the "relief well" and how it is FILMED. Because I guarantee you - this well is going to EXPLODE to high heaven; the pressure is too great, and they are ill equipped. But, they might just show us a perfectly good well working just fine, that is NOT the actual relief well, I wouldn't put it past them, unfortunately! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1008146 United States 06/19/2010 02:35 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't think deep water drilling is safe under any condition. The bop s are not designed for those depths and are not safe. The pressures of the formations are beyond our current capabilities. This will not be the last incident if we keep drilling at these depths. The deep oil has greater incidences of being radioactive. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1000780 United Kingdom 06/19/2010 03:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So let me get this straight. The deal means that INITIALLY 32 will be deployed for 'clean up' purposes. It is estimated that by August 1st production capacity should be at 10 per week. So of the projected 40 units for the month of August, 33 of those units will be used to stand by the remaining rigs. Why? |

TY. Well hopefully it stays on the radar. Well, Costner fronted the Senate and did not talk about the words of CEO John Houghtaling as far as I am aware. [link to www.cbsnews.com] or the proposal to address the 'problem' of the moratorium. |
