To them for the money back guarantee.

If you buy something fraudulent at a store you could easily return the item back to the store but most people who purchase from TV ads will not return the item back, sure most will curse at being robbed and perhaps even go through some motion of repackaging and so forth but in the end life gets in the way and a promissory to never purchase TV products again is the only resolve to the pain caused by those crooks and thieves on TV.

Having TV products at stores is your sure bet that the product stands to fulfill their claim to some degree and/or assures you that you can regain the guarantee of your money should it not meet that claim.

It cost more for TV products not to be in stores.

They lose profits by paying someone to take the order.

They lose profits by paying someone to package your order.

They lose profits by paying someone to coordinate your order.

They lose profits by paying storage of the inventory.

They lose profits by paying TV media for the time slot. Etc.

By having their products at chain stores all these loses are gained.

Don't trust the Media.

Don't get robbed.

I worked for a mail order company and I always suspected this, so I asked my Boss, the managing director, "Do we do this with the knowledge that most people will not bother to return it?"

The answer was a resounding "Yes" - along with one of those nasty snears.
Has anyone else noticed this elephant in the lounge room ?

Another block of writing from Elephant full of supposition and condescension whilst saying pretty much nothing. - EggNigma 2/2/2011

Well, they buy the selling rights before its sold to store or multi product distributing companys hoping they can sell it.
A small buisnesman can sell them in an area and for the time specified, but thanks for the totally useless uniformed rant.
