FOUR days of labor, with ZERO MEDS...No meds during delivery...agonizing prolonged pain...Kidney stone the size of a pea...Not too bad...So I would say you can't compare the pain, too many variables

Ha my mate had the aul kidney stones and he was in agony. They say it is close to the pain a woman feels when giving birth.

I have been run over by a car, fallen off a cliff on a motorcycle, smashed in the mouth with a baseball bat, but nothing has caused me to drop to the floor in agony like kidney stones. All I could get out was "AMBULANCE!!!"

People!

First, you can NOT compare kidney stones to childbirth.

Secondly, childbirth pain for one person is never the same for each pregnancy, nor the same as another person's pain.

Just because one lady had kidney stones worse than her childbirth pain is not a blanket determination of everyone ELSE's experience.

Ive seen people with kidney stones that didnt even know they had them. Stones have been passed without people knowing it.

Some women literally go unconscious from the pain of childbirth

And yes, im a medical professional

Re: Is Kidney stones for men the equivalent of women given birth?
The point is, doctors all say it is the equivalent pain as giving birth, most women who have given birth and passed kidney stones say kidney stones hurt more. Birth lasts hours and could cause tearing and damage but kidney stones last days causing insane pain, fever, internal damage and still has to be passed causing damage on the way out. Yes there have been many times where child birth is more painful but the fact is, most of the time the pain is equal if not greater. Period.

PLUS, childbirth includes HOURS of contractions (1 per 3 minutes for about 6 hours personally) which in many cases (mine) are more painful than the 30 minutes of pushing out the baby.

No drugs, at all.

Every childbirth is different, but I strongly disagree with the kidney stone theory.

Yep me too.. I was in labour for over 30 hours with my first child...

And I had a kidney stone for a week, that would not pass! Suck it! lol

I've always thought of a woman giving birth to be pretty damn equivalent to a guy trying to shit a watermelon...

No way a watermelon is bigger than a baby most of the time and a butt hole is not made to push some thing that big out but the vag is

everybody is getting this wrong, they are trying to replace something that would be hgh coming out of your dick to make up the size of a baby. But the truth is it isnt like that yea the kidney stone is small but your penis does not get prepared to give birth to a kidney stone it doesnt swell up and strtch for the birth of a kidney stone. now I had one a year ago and the actual passing of the stone hurt but not that bad kind of like a small razer blade coming out your dick. But the real pain which makes it worse than pregnancy is the constant pain you have either in your back, side, stomache (stomache which is where mine was) it hurts really bad it does not stop it does not contract and give you any ind of relief its just constant.it can make you vomit because it hurts non stop. My Kidney stone did not pass for 5 days,I was admitted to the Hospital with pain killers through an I.V becasue the pain kllers by mouth did nothing.when it did finally pass we never saw it come out i didnt feel anything, so I question the doctor why I hadnt seen it through the strainer? went home for about 2 months I was getting uti symptoms on and off, Doctors told me I might have bladder cancer so they wanted to do test.well 2 days before I was to go to the doctors I went to pee and the pain of a razor shot through my penis, it was the stone.it got lodged in my bladder or urethra.never went to the doctors and havent had any uti symptoms since.but to sum it up its the constant pain you feel not the actual passing of the stone.

Re: Is Kidney stones for men the equivalent of women given birth?
the stones are all different, some are only uncomfortable but Ive had two that were so bad that I KNOW if child birth was this bad then we would all be only childs!

the pain wasnt from passing thru my dick/penis, it was when it first started out of the kidney. stabbing pain where the knife gets twisted over and over.. once it started moving it hurt but that pain was a relif compared to the stabbing.

yes, vomiting and even close to black out, dizzy and starting to see stars! no way child birth can be that bad because like I said, if it was we would all be "only child" s

Hell no! Tell him the equivalent would be him trying to pass a bowel motion the size of a football.. and to feel the stretch and burn and probable tearing of the genital area. Then he can say he felt something the equivalent of giving birth naturally.

Kidney stones are very, very painful, as are gall stones... but no where near the same type of pain.

You ever passed a stone? I've passed over sixty of them, one of them being the size of a pencil eraser, and let me tell you it was jagged as fuck and blood came out with it, now I've never given birth to a child but I can confirm how painful passing a big stone is!

I don't remember how painful giving birth was. I did it naturally and drug free with a midwife, and I remember screaming in agony and at the time I knew it was the worst pain I had ever experienced. I think it was so painful that my brain just kinda censored it out of my memory.

Whoops. posted before I finished.. I tried to deliver for about 6 hours, then ended up getting rushed to the hospital for a c-section.

To all the ladies who managed to get the kid out of there... GOD BLESS YOU.

From my experience you are right on the money, it is different for everyone. In my case I had a kidney stone for years and years, possibly born with it, the docs really didn't know. It was the size of a golf ball, too big to move and certainly too big to pass...never knew it was there till a simple x-ray was taken for another reason.

The childbirth, well that is a different story. I have never before or since had any kind of pain that made me scream at the top of my lungs for god only knows how long, I was insane at that moment and I was not able to form words. After the doc turned on the pit she said it would be about 12 hours...well it wasn't even 12 seconds, I dialated from 4 to 10 with 1 contraction.

I really could not believe that you could go thru that and still live, and this was my 2nd of 3 births.
The problem is not the problem, the problem is your attitude about the problem.

Re: Is Kidney stones for men the equivalent of women given birth?
I've had kidney stones and given birth and the kidney stones were not even in the same category as giving birth.

Childbirth is 20 times worse pain! And why the tearing if women are so designed to give birth so easily?

Second birth a C section and that's no picnic either, especially the first time you stand up afterwards.

I guess it would be the same if the kidney stone were the size of an orange.

But everybody experiences pain differently and circumstances vary.
One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one.
