Is Kidney stones for men the equivalent of women given birth?

I've often wondered why woman go back for more of that torture.

I'm not! I'm never going through that again.

The hormones that run through the body after child birth make women feel all happy and loving. Thats what they remember. Not the excruciating pain.

Not all women get "drugged up". I gave birth to my 9lb 1oz son with no medication what so ever... Dont tell me there is ANY more painful experiance in life. The difference is that babies are worth it... with kidney stones... not really a reward after that.

4 days of constant pain no breaks between, the pain meds did nothing to stop it.Ive yet to see a Birth that last that long non stop pain.so yea Kidney stones at least my exp.sucked.never want another.

I had my first stone at age 30. It was too large to pass and required an operation to remove it. My kidney was damaged in the process, so I pee more like an old man and can't tolerate much alcohol.

I've given birth, and I've also had kidney stones. Trust me, giving birth is worse. Now an interesting thing about kidney stones is you have to relax as much as possible to be able to stand it, and sometimes you have an orgasm. Really wild.

It depends on the size of the kidney stone.

I was able to drive myself to the hospital while passing a sizable kidney stone. No way I could have driven myself to the hospital after my c-section.

However, kidney stones are excruciating, and anyone who denies it is just being an asshole.

I'm not a Woman so I can't say for sure, but I did have more pain with kidney stones than I've EVER experienced before. If you have them and have insurance demand lithotripsy, otherwise they'll go up your pee hole and insert a stent until the stone passes, then go back in and remove it. Aaargh!

Childbirth is the infinite pain and I've done both.

^^THIS^^ I think we need to differentiate between natural childbirth and pitocin-induced childbirth. I had ptiocin both times and there was NO break between contractions. The pain was beying intense and I could barely catch my breath (and did also vomit) I was in such agony. I endured for over 3 hours with my first before caving and getting the epidural, which I likely would have never needed without the pitocin. (i was young and didnt know better) Second time around i didn't have a choice as they needed to get my son out asap and wanted to avoid c-section (barely did)

Anywho, I'm sure kidney stones are worse than uncomplicated, natural childbirth, but nothing can be worse than pitocin-induced and/or complicated childbirth. It's just such intense pain for soooo long!

Oh and for whoever said ovarian cysts are worse than childbirth, what are you smoking? I've had severe cysts that ruptured and landed me in the ER and yes, the stabbing pain was unpleasant, but I could position myself in such a way that it was bearable. Can't usually do that in labor!!

Hours of excruciating, unrelenting, all-consuming pain. Sweating, vomiting writhing on the floor in sheer agony. Yeah, I believe its male equivalent, in pain any way. The first I rode out without any help, the second one I got someone to take me to the ER. I’ll never forget the fuzzy warmth of the morphine shot that night.

OMGosh OP, I had one once and needed both gravel and Demoral before it passed threw at the emergency in the hospital. It was worse then child birth to me!!!

People think it is the pain caused by the stone coming out the penis that is the problem . It is the pain caused by the stone blocking the Ureta(sp?) with the pressure of Urine building up behind it . The pain is like someone trying to push a crowbar through your side with a tractor . Unbelievable pain that fades away for a few minutes and comes back as a spasm from Hell !

Having given birth 3 times and seeing hubby in agonizing pain with stones, I'd say mine was the easier by far!!

No way to really compare since all womens labor experience is different as I am sure all stones are different.

But since my last one was 9 lbs 10oz and 12 hours of labor I would love to see a guy pull that off.

How dumb can you possibly be? Men take ALL pain better than women, I would rather give birth all the time than watch my wife go through it. People who have gone through birth and kidney stones SAY KIDNEY STONES ARE WORSE! What more proof do you need? How about this, I know strong men who've passed stones who can take pain way better than women I know who've given birth and the way they describe passing a kidney stone is more stressful and disturbing sounding than the way those women describe giving birth.

A guy could easily. Do you really think a man couldn't do that, if you could? Let's see you take a punch better than any man. You couldn't. Women need to stop deluding themselves into thinking they can take it better, how pathetic can you be? Just accept it.

I respect women so much for going through childbirth. I have never had a kidney stone but I wouldn't think it compares to childbirth, but what do I know I've done none of them.

Let me guess, you've never passed a kidney stone? And no, our bodies aren't meant to do that.

I had a 12 mm and a 6mm one time. Had to have laerscapty (sp?) surgery to have them removed. Now I drink alot more water then I do soda along with a bottle of cranberry juice about every 2 weeks.

Ive birthed my three babes naturally.. And have had some nasty kidney stones. Labor gives you breaks between the contractions at least... And you know roughly how long it can last... You can see progress, and there's a reward... Kidney stones it's CONSTANT.. With seemingly no end in sight... HOWEVER... NOTHING touches that RING OF FIRE PAIN during crowning... Stretching burning PAIN, nothing comes close... But as an experience as a whole, I'd rather birth a baby... UNLESS I was certain it would only last a few hours... Which usually they last 3-6 hours in my experience... But when you're in rolling around on the floor kidney stones pain.. ANYTHING seems like an improvement. LOL.
