Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1010599It's just pride and ego, nothing more. IF these people were serious, and I mean SERIOUS about finding work, they would get it, even if they have to move. YOU GO WHERE THE WORK IS YOU NUMBNUTS YOU DONT SIT ON YOUR ASS AND COLLECT WAITING FOR WORK TO COME TO YOUR AREA It's easy to say move, but don't you need money and a job to move and get a new place to live? I'm doing everything I can on an empty bank account, to find work, I've even tried to start a couple of businesses (dog walking, pet sitting, virtual assisting, errand running, window washing, internet marketing, home business cleaning) and even with spreading the word (flyers, face to face encounters) have no clients. I had an interview last week finally. It ended up being a multi-level marketing pitch. A lot of the job postings are turning out to be things like this, they wanted $49.00 and $200 a month inventory purchase. Frustrating because I only use my car to go on job interviews and grocery shopping. The "interview" was 20 miles away from where I live now. I had a savings stash of what I thought was 6 months worth of expenses. I've scrimped and am to the bare minimum, phone/internet (through the phone company), electric, rent, food and gas for interviews. I'm not going to be able to make rent this month and my phone/internet is going soon too. Anyone need a virtual assistant? Whoops! I was not signed in. AC 1010599 is me. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 876465I worked years at a store and most people payed by VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS even for small items that would total a few dollars. A lot of it is bullshit. You will see the BMW and you don't want to see the 60-100k debt they are in. And there are a lot of people living on the fringe. I know tons of people out of work and unemployed, luckily it's mostly young people who live at home. If it wasn't for family, a LOT of people would literally be on the streets. +1 so true |

Chinese business already has made significant moves in the region. The US military has set up an Africom Command in anticipation of future operations in Africa. Special forces are active in Somalia and US client states. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 417700As far as the Middle East, the american establishment have clearly singled out Iran. Logic would tell them to leave it alone given the precarious tensions there already, but hubris rules the day, not common sense. They will attack, once they've played the sanctions game for a few years. They know the sanctions won't work, but must do this to make it look like they've "tried" diplomacy. I don't think we have 20 years before we see significant war in the Middle East. I don't think it will be a world war, but there will be significant economic ramifications between China/Russia and the US/UK banking clique. Tarrifs, competing currency devaluations and trade embargoes may be implemented. The Iran war itself may result in millions of civilian casulties in Iran and Israel if the reactors are active by the time they are bombed. The Americans themselves must seize the Straigh of Hormuz if they are to keep the Chinese from selling all their US treasuries and collapsing the dollar. The writings on the wall, it will be ugly. Middle east is going to be ignored after few years. The reason is energy economy is moving to natural gas.I don't think there will be iran war,it will be difficult for USA in current situation. The possibility of real war exists between russia+china and west.It was always discussed but never happened due to differences between china n russia. If these two countries collaborate,USA will have tough time. |
