Yesterday a draft resolution to condemn NK for the sinking of the South Korean vessel was made within the UN. Contrary to what some countries wanted the resolution is very much watered down - no embargos etc. NK threatened with war if the UN implement an embargo. If it's NK it seems the situation has become less tense (no embargo). If it wasn't meant for NK then perhaps we can expect an Israeli raid soon on Iran. |

As far as N korea goes ...I thought that China warned the US about two or three weeks ago that they were not convinced that NK sunk the SK ship and to back off or they would intervene. I guess my point being that China and NK are one issue. |

"We are firmly opposed to foreign military vessels engaging in activities that undermine China's security interests in the Yellow Sea or waters close to China." Beijing has refused to condemn its neighbour and close ally North Korea for the alleged attack despite an international probe that blamed the isolated communist state. China has said it was studying the investigation's findings. [link to www.spacewar.com] |
