2084, according to many Christian sites I’ve visited, all the experts know that the portions of Mark with “Christ’s meetings” are NOT authentic. See my previous post. Of course, you can’t trust them Christians, can you?

79, let me clarify what I think about Jesus. Jesus was not a liar; however, there are statements in the Bible attributed to Jesus that I am sure Jesus did not say. The entire 24th Chapter of Matthew is an example. But Matthew, Chapter 24, was not a lie by Jesus, it was a lie by Peter, James, and John, three of the most cowardly and devious characters in the New Testament.

On the other hand, the 23rd Chapter of Matthew IS an authentic account of Jesus’ words.

Hi Spirit of Truth!! Thanx for the comments. Spirit of Truth, how do you explain Jesus’ negative attitude towards the Old Testament? Specifically,
- Most importantly, why did Jesus tell the man in Matthew, Ch 19, verses 16 – 22, that Moses’ 10 Commandments were INSUFFICIENT to gain him eternal life (Jesus told him he had to give up his money, too.), while in Luke, Ch 10, verses 25-28, Jesus confirmed that an adherence to God’s TWO Commandments, CAN get you eternal life.
- Why did Jesus say that Moses’ 3rd Commandment, Do not take the name of the Lord in vain, “comes from evil”?
- Why did Jesus say that the Leviticus law, “eye for an eye”, is wrong?
- Why did Jesus directly contradict the eating restrictions in Leviticus when he said, “It is not what goes into a man that defiles a man. It is what comes out of a man that defiles a man”?
- Why did Jesus contradict the Old Testament prophesy that Christ will be from the House of David when he said that Christ cannot come from the House of David?
- Why did Jesus directly disobey the directive in Leviticus and Deuteronomy to stone adulterers to death, when he told the sinner woman in John, Chapter 8, “I judge you not.”?



Hi R C 2!! Thanx for the comment! R C 2, did you read the title of this thread? This thread deals with the oldest Gospel, the Gospel of Mark. And yes, Chapter 16 is the only reference in Mark to the Resurrection.

Hi Jeff!! Thanx for checkin’ in. Say Jeff, what is the criteria you use for determination as to whether or not a person is a blasphemer? Is it questioning of scripture? If so, do you consider Jesus to be buring in the lake of eternal torment due to the questioning he did of scripture?
