Here, the humidity of the atmosphere is high, and the contrail ice particles continue to grow by taking up water from the surrounding atmosphere. These contrails extend for large distances and may last for hours. On other days when atmospheric humidity is
lower, the same aircraft passages might have left few or even no contrails.

When they whiteout the sky it traps what would go up from not going up so it super saturates down below for what= trap heat and pollutants which when i see this i think they think of us as little people to profit from= slow kill or quick kill there is money to be made off us little people or the atmosphere has been f'ed up beyond repair and this is there cure but really i think there is more then meets the eye to all of this.

You are correct it is very complex . . . Come to the Debate in July . . .

I contributed to your last Poll thread. I think, in this one, maybe an "All of the above" should have been included in the choices. That's my vote.

Take the two images above,  the first, dated April 10th 2010, before the volcano erupted, shows a large amount of contrails, and lots of cirrus clouds, many of which are probably contrail induced cirrus.  That was taken before the volcano erupted.  The second image, dated April 17th, shows no contrails at all.  The simple conclusion here is that removing air traffic made for vastly clearer skies over the UK.

This NOAA picture was taken 28 Jan 1991 which was about a month before the end of the First Gulf War according to wikipedia . . . so one can assume that :Air Supremacy had been achieved by the allies . . . and possibly no one was overly concerned about Contrail visibility; however, until hostilities were totally suppressed doesn't it seem reckless?
1. Why would you expose the visual location of Tankers, AWACS, etc. for possible targeting?
2. Makes one wonder if some of the persistent Trails over Iraq and Saudi may have other objectives?

NASA scientists have found that cirrus clouds, formed by contrails from aircraft engine exhaust, are capable of increasing average surface temperatures enough to account for a warming trend in the United States that occurred between 1975 and 1994. According to Patrick Minnis, a senior research scientist at NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va., there has been a one percent per decade increase in cirrus cloud cover over the United States, likely due to air traffic. Cirrus clouds exert a warming influence on the surface by allowing most of the Sun’s rays to pass through but then trapping some of the resulting heat emitted by the surface and lower atmosphere. Using a general circulation model, Minnis estimates that cirrus clouds from contrails increased the temperatures of the lower atmosphere by anywhere from 0.36 to 0.54°F per decade. Minnis’s results show good agreement with weather service data, which reveal that the temperature of the surface and lower atmosphere rose by almost 0.5°F per decade between 1975 and 1994.

Contrails
The condensation trail emitted by jet aircraft exhaust are called contrails. Contrails form when hot humid air from jet exhaust mixes with environmental air of low vapor pressure and low temperature. The mixing is a result of turbulence generated by the engine exhaust. Cloud formation by a mixing process is similar to the cloud you see when you exhale and "see your breath". The figure below represents how saturation vapor pressure varies as a function of temperature. The blue line is the saturation vapor pressure for ice as a function of temperature (in degrees Kelvin). Air parcels in the region labeled saturated will form a cloud. Imagine two parcels of air, A and B, as located on the diagram. Both parcels are unsaturated. If B represents the engine exhaust, then as it mixes with the environment (parcel A) its temperature and corresponding vapor pressure will follow the dotted line. Where this dotted line intersects the blue line is where the parcel becomes saturated, and a cloud will form.

If you are attentive to contrail formation and duration, you will notice that they can rapidly dissipate or spread horizontally into an extensive thin cirrus layer. How long a contrail remains intact depends on the humidity structure and winds of the upper troposphere. If the atmosphere is near saturation the contrail may exist for some time. On the other hand, if the atmosphere is dry then as the contrail mixes with the environment it dissipates. Contrails are a concern in climate studies as increased jet aircraft traffic may result in an increase in cloud cover. It has been estimated that in certain heavy air-traffic corridors, cloud cover has increased by as much as 20%. An increase in cloud amount changes the region's radiation balance. For example, solar energy reaching the surface may be reduced, resulting in surface cooling. Contrail clouds also reduce the terrestrial energy losses of the planet, resulting in a warming. Jet exhaust also plays a role in modifying the chemistry of the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere. The C-130 crew plans to spray the New Orleans area first, then other affected Gulf Coast areas as required. Crews will target are primarily mosquitoes and filth flies, which are capable of transmitting diseases such as Malaria, West Nile virus, and various types of Encephalitis. ”…new NASA research suggests about half the atmospheric warming measured in the Artic is due to airborne particles called aerosols. Aerosols can influence climate by reflecting or absorbing sunlight. The particles also affect climate by changing the reflectivity of clouds.”
NASA "models showed that regions of Earth with the strongest response to aerosols are the same regions that have witnessed the greatest actual temperature increases..."

If "chemtrailing" is done on purpose, these would be the most likely reasons why it would be done.

I suspect that as with all things we humans do, contrails are just the by-product of an industry that doesn't care enough to keep its emissions clean. Like so many other industries we humans pursue.

You are right on point . . . there is much documentation to support what you have just mentioned. It will be presented at the Debate in July. . .
