Looks like a rocky ride ahead, for sure.

i seriously have an "emergency plan" in place for my family, in the case of communications breakdown caused by any crisis.

assuming communications fail (cell phone, etc) and a crisis event takes place close to home:

1.) my wife and i head home.
2.) she picks up the children.
3.) she will likely get home first, if she cannot stay at home for whatever reason, then written communication left on dinner table confirming next step.
4.) head to city hall and police headquarters to link up, if not able next step.
5.) head to our local (and largest) hospital emergency room to link up.

and we have lots of canned food, water, rice, radios, batteries, devices that can hand crank their own power (radio and flashlights), emergency documents and material in a safe for easy transport, etc.

i actually go through this exercise with my wife and children about once a year, just so we all know what to do, in case an unexpected crisis arises, that directly affects our family.

i think it's time to cover this again with my wife, just in case july goes sideways and affects the homefront too...
